Faith in Politics

Eileen Carter began a radio show in 2013 on WBOK called the Good Life. In 2017, she left & became the 1st social media manager of New Orleans (2018-2021) & then the Lord called her number. Life definitely changed as she accepted her calling. When you are called, you are called. And those that know, know & she ran for mayor!

So "Faith in Politics Today" was birthed, ten years later in 2023 & now we are sharing information to help our residents referee from afar to ensure accountability.

Eileen grew up in a Catholic political family in New Orleans that had relationships in the DNC from local to national levels & she always just followed along. Well, when you mix community activism with the Holy Spirit, you get more than what you bargained. Don't try to box her in, it doesn't work anymore. She left the Catholic faith in 2015, was saved and baptized and recently left the Democratic Party. Eileen is a registered No Party & a Christian Believer in Jesus Christ. Support $FaithInPolitics

Thank you Jesus! I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered 🗣️

“Then God gave the people all these instructions: “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. “You must not have any other god but me. “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands. “You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name. “Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy. “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you. “You must not murder. “You must not commit adultery. “You must not steal. “You must not testify falsely against your neighbor. “You must not covet your neighbor’s house. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.””

Prophetic Word: Judgement is playing out - Don’t weep for the wicked. More to come. REPENT while you have time. The Lord has given many signs…. Are you paying attention? Check your heart - Read your Bible - Renew your mind.

Today is Sabbath - Give honor and time to Yahweh 🙏🏽

“This is what the Lord says: “The people of Judah have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They have rejected the instruction of the Lord, refusing to obey his decrees. They have been led astray by the same lies that deceived their ancestors. So I will send down fire on Judah, and all the fortresses of Jerusalem will be destroyed.” This is what the Lord says: “The people of Israel have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They sell honorable people for silver and poor people for a pair of sandals. They trample helpless people in the dust and shove the oppressed out of the way. Both father and son sleep with the same woman, corrupting my holy name. At their religious festivals, they lounge in clothing their debtors put up as security. In the house of their gods, they drink wine bought with unjust fines.”

If y’all aren’t paying any attention the Epstein files, I suggest you begin to take note - it’s literal abominations to society. If there is files don’t change you, something is wrong with you 👀

“And he said to me, “Go in, and see the vile abominations that they are committing here.””
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

From family members to the Epstein Files: There is a special place in hell for unrepentant people who abuse, harm, sacrifice and eat children. AND those who enable the behavior by turning a blind eye - “I don’t want to get them in trouble” - Well they got themselves in trouble - Are we as a society going to accept child abuse as a norm?

Speak up 🗣️ Protect your abused family members NOT the predators. The abuse doesn’t just stop until someone stops it.

Lord please expose it all - from our families to the Epstein Files - Expose it all in Jesus name. 🥺🙏🏽

““Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.””
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭82‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Being doing it for centuries - “And he burned his son as an offering and used fortune-telling and omens and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭21‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Rosh Chodesh Adar ✨: Today begins the new month of Adar on the Biblical calendar — a month associated with joy.

In Biblical tradition we are taught:
“When Adar begins, we increase in joy.”

Adar leads to Purim, commemorating the events recorded in the Book of Esther, when Queen Esther stood with courage and her people were delivered.

The Biblical calendar measures time differently than the modern Gregorian calendar.
A Biblical day begins at sundown and ends at sundown, based on Genesis 1:5:

“And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

So Rosh Chodesh (Head of the Month) begins at sunset — not at midnight.

Adar reminds us:
• What is hidden is still at work.
• What looks reversed can be restored.
• Joy can be intentional and powerful.

This year is a leap year on the Biblical calendar, meaning there are two months of Adar — extending the season of preparation and joy.

May this new month bring courage, clarity, and increase. đź’› @faithinpoliticstoday

Changing of the guard: “ I am somebody!” When Jesse Jackson ran for President in 1984 and 1988, it was a breakthrough moment in American politics.

He didn’t win the nomination.
But he broke ceilings.

📊 Nearly 7 million votes in 1988.
📊 11 primary and caucus wins.
📊 Finished second in the Democratic race.

More than numbers — it was symbolic. It showed that we could step onto any ballot. That we belonged in every room where decisions are made.

My family felt and made that shift.

In 1984, my dad, Ken Carter, ran for assessor — and became the first Black elected assessor in the state of Louisiana. In 1994, he ran for Mayor of New Orleans.

Just seeing someone dare to run sparked something so much bigger across the nation.

That’s how change works.
One person steps forward.
Others realize they can too.

I hope his legacy encourages more people to get civically involved — to serve, to organize, to vote, to run.

Because one candidacy can inspire many.
And one decision to lead can ripple for generations.

Rest in power to a man who made possibility visible.
