Hello! I'm Sarah and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I started sewing mid-way through 2020 and haven't looked back. This channel is to help document my makes and share my experiences. I also started knitting in April 2021 so there will be knitting plans and makes too.

Hi everyone! As you might know, I'm trying to sew up a Madeline Quilt before Christmas! If you're interested in sewing along with a similar timeline, here is my current plan. (Please note I've already done all of the cutting and piecing and I'm now up to "Sew the Rows").
Week ending 9 November: finish sewing all the short rows
Week ending 16 November: finish sewing all the tall rows
Week ending 30 November: finish quilt top construction (2 weeks allowed, for catching up!)
Week ending 7 December: finish the quilting
Friday 12 December: finish binding, and quilt is done!

It was SO lovely to chat with Theresa the other night and discuss our progress on our Standing Tall quilts! We have both started sewing our blocks up and it's fun to see the pattern start to emerge from our fabric choices.
It's been especially exciting and heartwarming to see others joining in on the #StandingTallQAL and we have shared pictures from other sewists getting involved in the QAL at the end of the video!
