So, it's official: Motocoaster is closing. What do you guys think will take its place? It occupies a very large piece of land right on the Murrissippi River, with the potential for an expansion on Rivertown, or even the development of a new precinct or attraction building out towards the Giant Drop and the former Rocky Hollow site.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on what's next after Motocoaster closes for good on February 1. Let me know in the comments!
I just rode my last new coaster for 2025! It hasn't been the year I hoped for, but I still want to celebrate everything that was this year with my traditional end-of-year ranking!
I currently have 186 coasters to rank, and I'm planning to rank them in two separate videos on December 29 & 30. Which option do you guys think I should go with?
GOOD NEWS UPDATE! Hair Raiser is back on the Luna Park website. Phew! It still is down for maintenance and it looks like that closure is not set to end any time soon, though. Let's hope the park has plans for the ride and we might get some clarity on the situation soon!
After being closed for maintenance reasons since March this year, Hair Raiser has been removed from Luna Park Sydney's website.
This Larsen Super Shot drop tower was one of the best in Australia and my favourite ride at the park. It opened in 2013, and was the park's first new ride in a decade at that time.
Do you think we've ridden Hair Raiser for the last time?
Hi friends! Time for a China update. The trip has gone very well so far! Coaster Odyssey Ep.11 is filmed and I've been on some awesome coasters and seen some awesome parks. Today I'm off to Disneyland!
Unfortunately, since yesterday, I've started to really feel this trip take a toll. As you're all aware, my health goes in ups and downs, and I think I may have found my limit this week. I really wanted to push to visit as many parks as possible in a short trip, but in hindsight, while that's something I love doing, it may not be something I'm capable of doing any more. That's been a tough thing to come to terms with this morning, but I think I definitely went too hard too fast, especially with some long commutes to parks and some... rather intense days.
I'm making the decision to cut a few parks from the trip. As I approach the end of the trip, I need to rest and have a few take-it-easy days so that I don't come back from my holiday feeling worse than when I left.
First, I won't be visiting Wuxi Sunac Land & HB World. That was always the reserve day that would be cut if necessary for any reason, so it wasn't unexpected.
The other park is Joyland. I intended to visit it earlier in the week, as it was the subject for my RCDB Roulette video idea, so I'm really frustrated and upset to decide not to go. I was looking forward to making that video, so it's a hard decision, but in reality, I'm only going to do myself harm by pushing myself to go, especially since it's such a long way to go from Shanghai.
I've had a great trip and I'll be using the opportunity to take a couple of days of more relaxed sightseeing to make it a holiday to remember while also ensuring I don't hit a brick wall. If I'm feeling up to it, I know there are some bizarre attractions nearby like the roller coaster in the Oriental Pearl Tower, and I might head there as a more laidback coaster adventure.
I hope you guys understand. Having done fast-paced trips like this before, I really thought I had it all covered, but with everything that has changed health-wise since trips like the UK, I think the lesson I've learned is that in future, I need to schedule more slowly, even if my enthusiast brain doesn't want to.
Thanks for understanding, and hope you're excited for Coaster Odyssey and a bunch more content!
Hi friends! I hope you enjoyed tonight's video! I'm trying to get back into a routine with my video making now. My goal is to put out a coaster review every Monday, a smaller video every Thursday, and then my major video for the week every Saturday. That might change a little, I want to be more kind to myself and flexible when I need time off, as that was a mistake I made before. But just giving you an idea of what to expect :)
But now to the main point of this post. This week, I'm headed off to China for Episode 11 of Coaster Odyssey. I have been researching far and wide about accessing the internet in China, but I haven't been able to find consistent answers about any VPNs or anything that works consistently. So really, I'm not going to know for sure whether I'll have internet access until I get there.
I'm going to put out this week's content as scheduled, and then the content will either continue, or there will be a gap if I can't access the internet from China. If I can't upload from China, I'll still be editing over there and I'll dump all that content on you guys when I come back! So stay tuned!
I'm visiting 10 parks over there, so I hope you're excited! Stay tuned!
