Many of my videos are crude. Sometimes in language, sometimes in assembly, sometimes both. Rather than real videos, they're more like radio with pictures. In many cases, literally. I also have a fondness for podcasts and my feed includes edits of my favourites.
Most of my channel's content comes from listening to cassettes before discarding them. If I hear a piece of old radio I think may be interesting or entertaining, I’ll upload it. I also like to share songs not already on YouTube. Like myself, my feed is quite random. In January 2015, reviewing one of my "Comedy Bang! Bang!" edits, Kyle Daly of The AV Club called my channel "possibly the world’s weirdest mixtape" (news.avclub.com/listen-to-every-scott-aukerman-ben… so while you may have to skip through uploads of no interest, hopefully you will find something to entertain you as much as whatever brought you here.
Thanks for visiting!

Hi there. I know “it’s been a while” since my last “Comedy Bang! Bang!” video “Tart and Tarver” so I’d just let you know I haven’t stopped, I’ve just slowed down. I’m working on another when I can but time isn’t as free as it used to be and I’m still working two jobs, as explained a few posts down.
I’m thrilled “Tart and Tarver” has been so popular. It took off quickly and keeps getting many more viewers daily and after the next CBB compilation I’ll make a part 2, with the many Carl and Drew characters not in the first edit.
In the meantime, I recommend you check out, if you haven’t already, the channel of another CBB fan, Matt Walks, who has lately been editing and posting like crazy. He also makes character compilations, not just cuts of one CBB episode.
Anyway, I’ll leave you for now with something that gave me a laugh today, not from CBB or any other podcast but from real life, while working my job of kindergarten assistant:
Boy: “Brendan, do you know we used to be cave people?”
Me: “Yes I do know that. How do you know?”
Boy: “My dad told me.”
Me: “It was a long time ago though.”
Boy: “Yeah, like 50 years.”
Me: “A lot more than that. I’m over 50 and I was NEVER a cave person.”
Boy: “You’re over 50?! You’re OLD!”
Stay safe, love ya, from old Bren x

Seen at my local op shop (thrift store).
“One man saw it coming” …
and that man was not Chris Rock.
Thankfully, it’s not Christmas, so I can joke about “I, Robot” (and its star)

A QUESTION FOR "COMEDY BANG! BANG!" FANS
Well, I suppose anyone can answer, but as it's regarding my next CBB compilation, it's only CBB fans who may be affected, or rather, offended. If what I'm about to do is wrong, I'd rather know before I do it, rather than after the video is uploaded. My thinking is that anyone who enjoys the outrageous comedy of CBB should be tough to offend, but experience has taught me that isn't always the case!
I don't want to spoil the surprise of my next video, so I'll just say it's a compilation featuring two CBB faves, compilations of whom many fans have asked for. As these two sometimes appear together, I thought rather than separate videos, I'd make one featuring both. I've just finished the fun part, editing the audio (10 minutes shy of 12 hours!) and now comes the laborious task of adding images, so I'd expect the finished product to be uploaded in about 2 weeks. I've also written lyrics for an opening song, which I'm really happy with. Well, I was, until I started wondering if one of the lines may be seen as racist.
One of the subjects is black and the other guy is white and a line in the opening song has the phrase:
"... one's Caucasian, one's a brother. They're not siblings obviously ..."
My reference in regard to what is acceptable in the States is more often than not American TV and I'm pretty sure I've seen white people refer to black people (in a non-offensive way) as "brothers". I know the "N" word is a no-no, but what about the "B" word? In order to be sure, I did some Googling, which left me more confused. Some sites (such as Urban Dictionary) say it's fine, but the majority of Reddit contributors disagree. Then again, can the opinion of that perpetually-outraged community be trusted? Believe it or not, a couple loathe even yours truly 🥲
I'd rather not change the line, as the next (which rhymes with the line is question) is a nice joke (that I won't include here as it'll give too much away) and I'm having trouble coming up with another first line that rhymes with the second.
Anyway, what do you think? Being a white Aussie boomer of 63, I really have no idea!

TO ALL "COMEDY BANG! BANG!" FANS
G'day. I thought I should give you an update on the CBB from BFB situation and why "it's been a while" since my last compilation of Scott and the gang. I imagine a few may have been wondering, as "it's been" 92 days since "CBB Catch-Up" dropped.
For several years I was working only on weekends. As a sole trader disability support worker, I didn't need to work a lot in order to survive. Weekend rates are good, especially when you're working for yourself, not giving two-thirds to "the man" and 4 hours every Saturday and Sunday taking my one client out and about were sufficient This gave me a lot of time during the week to edit and I was able to upload at least one cut a month and on some occasions, several more (such as "Mike Month", in which I uploaded FIVE Mike Hanford tributes one April and Christmas 2020 when I put out a video a week).
Alas, those days are gone, for in June, my client's NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) was drastically cut and my work dropped from 4 hours every Saturday and Sunday to 3 hours every second Saturday (or once a fortnight as we say down under).
So I suddenly found myself looking for work at the ripe old age of 62!
It actually didn't take too long and now, in addition to my job assisting my client in the community, I am an assistant at 3 kindergartens! This is a really rewarding (and REALLY tiring) job. One of the kinders is attended by kids with behavioral issues, having been removed from their homes due to drugs or violence or negligence. I feel most valued there, having been told I am what few of these kids have, a "positive male role model". I never thought anyone would describe me that way!
The extra work has, alas, reduced the time I have for editing, but I wanted to let you know I am still cutting when I can. At the moment I'm working on a 12-hour compilation I'm sure will be VERY popular, its subject being a fan favourite. The good news for those who don't like my extra shit (I saw this comment on another YouTuber's unedited upload of a CBB episode: "thanks for being a no-frills BabyFace!"), there will be no BFB bells and whistles on this long-awaited edit (well, maybe a "Chicken Tonight" 😉).
"Bang! Bang! By Request" WILL return for a second season at some time, but I can't say when. I guess in that way the show is similar to "Curb Your Enthusiasm", in that it could be several years without a season, for like me, Larry David didn't HAVE to make that show, he did it for fun. Well, OK, he made a shitload of money too, but you get my point.
So sit tight, Bang! Bang! fans, there WILL be more BFB edits of your favourite podcast. In the meantime, enjoy one of my many CBB videos already on the channel, or visit one of those "no frills BabyFace" CBB YouTubers!
Cheers, Bren

He’s baaaaack!
Andy Daly’s crazy character from “The Closer” (season 5, episode 6) returned in that show’s spinoff “Major Crimes”. If you have access (in Australia it’s on Foxtel’s Crime channel), you want season 3, episode 3.

And once again “The Closer” reminds me of “Comedy Bang! Bang!”. What IS it about that show? It was weird using Ben’s name, as he starred in “The Opener”, so I’m wondering if this was some kind of in-joke, Easter egg or homage, or just another crazy “Closer” coincidence!

TEN MILLION VIEWS!
What a milestone! I'm so happy that what has been a fun hobby, sharing rare TV and film content and "re-imagined" edits of "Comedy Bang! Bang!" and other podcasts has brought pleasure to so many.
In January 2020, after more than six years on YouTube, this channel had 1,700 subscribers. Then I uploaded "The Best of Thomas Middleditch" and things took off, then shortly after, so did COVID19 (the Cuervo Gold....). As you can see in a photo attached, the pandemic really boosted views to BabyFaceBren (every cloud, huh?) and it is incredibly satisfying that my CBB edits, the making of which helped me through that horrible time, also gave others entertainment and distraction.
I know not every subscriber to, or viewer of BabyFaceBren is here for the Bang! Bang! and those who subscribed due to other content must be disappointed, because CBB edits are all I do nowadays! But that is what I enjoy the most and it is always nice to read in the comments that someone has discovered Scott's show because of my channel, whether discovering my edits themselves, or having a CBB fan share it with them. Thanks to Scott for allowing we YouTubers to share his work and especially in my case for being allowed to fuck about with it.
I really have no idea if he has watched any of my CBB edits, or is even aware they exist, but if so, the more than ten years without a "cease and desist" is much appreciated, as is the fact that 3 videos in the top 10 videos viewed the most on my channel are of CBB content (well done Tommy Middle-D, Andy D and BCB!)
This 10 million views notification has come at a good time, for so far, 2024 has been a pretty, pretty shitty year, with a few setbacks and distractions in my life prohibiting me from uploading new videos to my channel as frequently as before.
This is hopefully a temporary situation. I have been working on an exciting and fun CBB cut that I was hoping to premiere in May, but it'll now be several weeks till it arrives.
In the meantime, re-visit the many CBB cuts already here.
And thanks for contributing to TEN MILLION VIEWS!
Bren xxx

Look who just popped up on “The Closer” (not “The Opener” 😉). Top-billed guest star, no less (so pretty high up on the call sheet). If you have access to the series (for Aussies it’s on the Crime Channel on Foxtel) check it out. Season 5, episode 6. Andy (or rather, “Andrew”) is great in it.
