šŸ”Ž Help me decide the neutral special for Col. Mustard šŸ‘Ø

Given the mind game aspects of Clue, I think it’d be fair to say he should play as a mix-up character, swapping between trapper and bait-and-punish setups to secure a stock.

With that in mind! I got two tricky moves and one that’s a little more straightforward forward.

🐘 Elephant Gun is a 3 stage, mid-range projectile, charge attack.
• If you tap it, you strike your opponent with the butt of the gun.
• Hold the attack for a moment, you load one shell into the double barrel.
• Hold it down for a couple moments, you load two shells into the double barrel, dealing a much stronger attack with a larger hitbox. It also pushes the opponent back significantly.

🦯 Bluff uses Col. Mustard’s cane he is sometimes seen with. This would be a true mind game type move. Rather than being used as a counter, I thought it’d be interesting if some of his smash attacks used his cane to strike like a sword (cause smash bros needs more sword characters). The difference being, when you use the special, he draws the cane, hesitates for a moment, creating some odd timing, then draws a sword from the cane to strike. You’d be able to input a direction to change the angle or the type of strike you dealt sort of like with Marth’s side special.

šŸˆ Shoulder Check. Some versions of Col. Mustard writes his backstory as a former football celebrity. His special could be a strong but short tackle or dash attack.

Which makes the most sense for Col. Mustard’s mix-up playstyle?

In our Smash Bros-style tabletop mascot tournament, what should šŸ’° Rich Uncle Pennybag’s šŸ’µ (aka Mr. Monopoly’s) neutral special be?

Rich Uncle Pennybag’s has an all-rounder playstyle but leans a bit towards zoner. These are the moves I would expect him to have.

šŸŖ™ Spare Change: He throws a random number of coins (ranging 1-5 coins) in an arc causing light damage, slight flinch, and a messy hitbox.

šŸ”„ Bait-and-Switch: Presents a contract to an opponent, creating a small window in which he could stun an attacking opponent. Think Peach’s counter mixed with JigglyPuffs sleep move.

šŸŽ© Tip of The Hat: Throws his hat in the direction he’s facing before it returns like Link’s boomerang. Picks up one item on the battlefield if it crosses paths.

Aaaaand makes the last round of Round 1 AND the most one-sided fight we’ve had so far. If this was a legit Smash tournament, we’d be looking at a 3-stock.

From here on, we’ll be conducting things a little differently. I’d like to do custom art for the victors whether it’s hand drawn or graphic design.

See ya soon with the first quarter finals bout and the matchups for the losers bracket.

ROUND 1 — FINAL MATCHUP šŸ

šŸ› ļø Zehra (Scythe)
vs
šŸ¦› Henry Hippo (Hungry Hungry Hippos)

One is a hardened commander of an industrial war machine—
calculated, relentless, and built for resource domination.

The other is pure chaos.
No strategy. No mercy. Just consume everything in reach.

Is this a battle of precision vs primal hunger?
Or does raw, unstoppable momentum crush careful planning?

šŸ’„ Who advances to Round 2?
Vote like it’s Smash Bros rules — and defend your pick in the comments.

(Bonus points if you explain Zehra’s Final Smash or Henry’s Ultimate.)

Another landslide. OOF! And there’s only one battle left in the round 1’s winner bracket. I’m looking forward to quarter-finals.

I was thinking of releasing character art for the winners of the next rounds. What do you guys think?

Sup! It's time for another Game Gauntlet (working title, still looking for a better one)
āš”ļø ROUND 1—WINNERS BRACKET
This is match 7 of 8! WOWZERS!!! I've neglected to mention in past posts that if your mascot of choice loses, you are no longer allowed to play that game. Whoopsies...

Battleship Commander (Battleship, duh)
vs
The Vagabond (Root, the raccoon one)

One's got nukes, but the other one is actually willing to use them. Some people just want to watch the world burn. If you choose Vagabond, that's you too.

🚢 Battleship Commander: LR zoner/camper—think Samus + King K. Rool

šŸ¦ Vagabond : Hit-and-run assassin; is a raccoon—think Shiek + Toon Link + a raccoon

Powerful Range vs Agility
Old Man Stink vs Wet Fur Stink

This is the first landslide victory in the Game Gauntlet. Maybe this kitty has what it takes to win the whole thing. Let’s see if they maintain this momentum.

Would the Exploding Kitten have like Pichu type moves where they damage themselves as they play? Or, do they load up some explosive move to one-shot an opponent.

Next up is the Commander from Battleship and The Vagabond from Root. Yes, I know there’s a lot of different Vagabonds. I’m still deciding if the character would be an amalgamation of all of them or if I’m choosing a specific Vagabond. What do you all think?

Beholders have a challenge rating of 13 in dnd 5e. I’d be interested to know what the Queen’s CR is (or was). I picture the Beholder (Xanathar) playing something like Bowser Jr. and Ridley put together. Super camper-heavy tactics.

Next up, an Exploding Kitten and Cavity Sam. The name sounds made up, but apparently the guy from operation has a name too. Learning a lot during this tournament.

I got to admit, I’m on the losing side of this every time. Still, I’d be more interested in seeing an iconic character like Lord Licorice in our all tabletop games version of Smash Bros.

The full list of contestants is now revealed! Look out for the next post soon.

It's time for another Game Gauntlet!

Munchkin vs Candyland. Spyke vs Lord Licorice. You got Link's bombs, Megaman's buzzsaw, R.O.B.'s top thingy—I imagine all Spyke's moves are just chucking items at people. On the other hand, you have Lord Licorice sticking to his Twizzler obsession. Smash needed one more character with a sword. Right?

Who would win and why?
