Today I witnessed leadership at its best.

The Fixed Ops Director of a well-known Mercedes-Benz dealership in North Jersey reminded me why I love what I do.

You could feel the culture the moment you walked in the way the team interacted with each other and their customers.

I’d already heard the stories of how he led by example to change processes. Today I saw it in action:
💪 A warm welcome as he returned from vacation
💪 Genuine compassion for a teammate relocating out of necessity
💪 No performance, no mask just authentic leadership

What makes it remarkable is that he’s a younger leader who has already earned deep trust and respect.

In 13+ years walking into dealerships, I’ve seen managers who are stressed, heads down, and pulled in every direction. I get it. But this was different.

Not that there aren’t other great leaders in automotive, but this was an outstanding example on all points.

A reminder that kindness and compassion in leadership don’t just build trust…
they come back to you tenfold.
