As humans we have such a biological bias towards novelty but novelty doesn't always = long term prosperity.
Novelty Mindset: "This didn't work on my first or second try, so I'm going to try something new!!"
Sometimes it's a good idea to pivot and try something new, but for so many cases, the best things come from cultivation and focus... even through repeated failure, for example:
- Working out for months at a time and finally starting to see your gains.
- Failing for years in a business, but then finally learning how to be successful.
- Going to school for years and working towards a degree.
- Practicing meditation and slowly taking control of your own mind.
- Practicing shooting a basketball thousands of times and finally developing a shot.
❌ Success doesn't happen because "you thought the grass was greener on the other side and you found a magic bullet".
✅ Success happens because, even through the hard times you stick it out and you don't give up on what you want.
