My Life In Flow

This is a 10 year old message for all of you kindred spirits out there. I originally shared this with my friend's daughter on her birthday 10 years ago, and found the video recently. I realized this is a message for all of us and especially in the world we are in today we all need to shine our beacons bright, we all need to shine our lights as strong as possible so that we can light up the world with positivity and love. Remember that just one candle can light up the darkness, so imagine what the world would look like if we all Cheyenne our brightest!!! Wishing you all the most happiest of New Year's day and hope to see you all soon XOXO

My Life In Flow

As the days grow cooler starting in September and the winter months set in, turning to warm, nourishing foods like pho, soups, and lentils is one of the healthiest choices you can make. These meals aren’t just comforting — they’re backed by real nutritional benefits that support your body all season long.

✨ Why these foods are so good for you in winter:

• Naturally lower in calories:
Broth-based dishes like pho and most traditional soups are typically lower in calories than heavier winter meals. Research consistently shows that soups increase satiety — meaning you feel full sooner — which can support healthy weight management when eaten regularly.

• High in hydration:
We often forget to hydrate in colder months. Broths provide electrolytes and fluid, helping your body stay hydrated while also keeping you warm.

• Packed with nutrients:

Pho offers protein from lean meats, immune-supporting herbs (like cilantro, basil, and ginger), and complex carbs from rice noodles.

Lentils are rich in fiber, plant protein, iron, and folate — all essential for energy and healthy digestion.

Vegetable soups deliver antioxidants that help the body combat winter illnesses.

• Supports digestion and gut health:
Warm liquids, fiber-rich lentils, and spices like ginger and star anise (common in pho) help keep digestion smooth during months when heavier foods can slow you down.

• Helps maintain a healthy weight:
Studies show that people who eat broth-based soups regularly tend to consume fewer calories overall. Adding pho or soups to your weekly rotation can help keep weight in balance without feeling deprived.

And let’s be honest — these meals are pure comfort food. They’re delicious, cozy, nourishing, fragrant, and even fun to eat. There’s something about a steaming bowl of pho or a hearty lentil stew that feels like a warm hug on a cold day.

So as we head into the chillier months, consider leaning into these nourishing bowls. Your body (and taste buds!) will thank you. 🍲💛
