For Gen-Z professionals and college students who want to develop a successful career in Technology. It is the place where early-career professionals come for career advice and guidance and technical mentorship traditionally acquired through interaction in shared office space from more experienced colleagues. CareerZ Cast
I started CareerZ Cast a couple of months ago. This project is part of the post-corporate phase of my career (I have been a technologist, engineer, organizational leader, last Sr. Director at Google), with a mission to help inspire and enable the next generation of innovators.
As I recorded an episode last week, talking about the #futureofwork, remote vs. in-office work, I had an insight on the reason why CareerZ Cast is needed. With GenZ gravitating towards less structured and more dispersed work, there is a need for a place to get career guidance and technical mentorship. The shared office allowed workers to interact outside the context of work projects, and less experienced professionals could observe, interact and learn from more experienced and accomplished professionals. Digital media can help by supplying the coaching/mentoring outside the office environment.
