Quick update for those interested:



1. I have not forgotten about On Negative Character Arcs. The next video is in the works, it’s just waiting on a couple of pieces to fall into place. I do have a few videos coming in the meantime in its absence.

2. I’m still planning to change the logo when one of my artist friends can help with that.

3. If you couldn’t tell, I’m scaling back my uploads from every 3-4 days to every 5-7 days because there just aren’t enough hours in one to get more videos done. C’est la vie. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4. It's been expressed that the audio quality on my videos is not ideal. I'm looking to upgrade my mic in the near future, so if anybody happens to have reasonably-priced suggestions, I'd be grateful.

Hey, folks. On vacation; no new vid for a few days. In the meantime, I recommend you take the time you would have spent watching an upload to do one (or more) of the following:
-Compliment a stranger
-Learn a song of your choice on an instrument
-Find some rain, dance in it
-Rewatch/read that thing you’ve wanted to rewatch/read
-If you’re a paid writer for a production company, get your act together and start on a worthwhile project. Ask an Average Joe if you’re unsure of whether your idea qualifies

Armchair Expert

Welcome, folks!

Nice to have you along for the ride. Call me the Armchair Expert. The idea behind the name is that in the event any of these videos cross the dash of a Big Time Screenwriter, they’ll be able to find a grain of advice from someone who hasn’t been entrenched in the business for decades and so can see past the industry nonsense. Otherwise, they’ll be good to have on in the background while you’re doing your chores or something. Hopefully you’ll come away from a video with a couple of laughs and maybe a new perspective on a popular movie/show. As long as it doesn’t end in a copyright suit, I’ll call it a win.

A couple of notes:
1. I know how trash the audio quality is, and am working on getting a mic. I promise. 😂
2. Logo will probably change in the near future.
3. My favorite genres are fantasy and suspense, but f it falls into popcorn cinema, it's within range. You can expect a plurality of my content to gravitate around these, but it’s not a hard rule. Which leads me to…
4. Suggestions are always welcome. I might not get to everything, but it doesn’t hurt to throw a hat into the ring.
5. I already have a few videos in the works, as well as some playlists, and even a podcast. Stay tuned for those, because I’m going to have entirely too much fun creating them.
