👉 In TCM, the Liver is like a Project Manager. It’s responsible for the smooth flow of everything in your body.

- The Smooth Operator: It keeps your energy (Qi) moving so you don’t feel stuck.

- The Storage Unit: It stores your blood and sends it where it’s needed.

- The Eyes & Nails: It’s the reason you can see clearly and have strong, healthy nails.

1- Common TCM Pattern: "The Stress Ball" or Liver Qi Stagnation. This is what happens when life gets overwhelming and your energy stops moving.
How it feels: Irritable, bloated, and like you need to take a deep sigh every 5 minutes. Wiry pulse.

2- Common TCM Pattern: "The Empty Tank" or Liver Blood Deficiency. This is when the body is too depleted to nourish itself.
How it feels: Dry eyes, brittle nails, dizzy spells, or "pins and needles" in your limbs.
A very pale tongue and a thin, weak pulse.

3- Common TCM Pattern: "The Pressure Cooker" or Liver Fire. When stress sits for too long, it turns into heat.
How it feels: Explosive anger, red face, bloodshot eyes, and a bitter taste in your mouth. A bright red tongue with a yellow coat.

🧐 The Top 3 Points to Know
- Liver 3: the best acupuncture point to move Liver Qi especially combined with Li 4.
- Liver 8: The best point to nourish Blood combined with ST 36 and Sp 6.
- Liver 2: The best point to calm down anger.

😶 Bell’s Palsy in TCM

Bell’s palsy is an acute condition characterized by sudden facial muscle weakness or paralysis, usually affecting one side of the face. Symptoms often worsen within the first 48 hours and may take weeks to months to fully resolve—though most cases recover well with proper support.

⚡ Common Causes (TCM view):
Weak immune system / Wei Qi deficiency
Emotional stress (allowing Wind to invade)
Medication or drug-related triggers

This condition is often classified as Wind invasion of the channels affecting the face.

🎯 Treatment Options:
👂 Ear acupuncture points: Jaw, Eye, Cheek, Shen Men
⚡ Electro-acupuncture (low setting): ST 7 & ST 8
💡 Clinical tip: Early treatment is key. Gentle stimulation in the acute phase helps restore channel flow, reduce paralysis, and support nerve recovery.

🌟 The 8 Influential (Meeting) AcuPoints, also called Hui Points, are among the most powerful points in acupuncture practice.

They are known as influential points because each one has a deep action on a specific category of the body: the Zang-Fu organs, Qi, Blood, sinews, bones, vessels, or marrow.

• GB 34 for the sinews
• BL 11 for the bones
• LV 13 for the Yin Organs, Zang
• REN 12 for the Yang Organs, Fu
• BL 17 for Blood
• REN 17 for Qi
• GB 39 for the marrow
• LU 9 for the vessels and pulse strength

Here is how to use them effectively in practice:

✨ Combine them with a local or distal point to target the painful area.

✨ Pair them with a point from the related meridian to strengthen their effect.

✨ Use them in constitutional treatments to regulate the specific sphere involved, for example GB 34 for tendon issues in athletes, or REN 17 for Qi stagnation with chest oppression.

🌀 Examples:
• GB 34 + GB 39: sinews and marrow, excellent for chronic or neurological pain
• BL 17 + LV 8: harmonizes the Blood and supports the Liver
• REN 12 + ST 36: regulates the bowels and strengthens digestion
