Mahalaxmi Temple, built in 1831 by a Hindu merchant, honors Goddess Mahalaxmi, the goddess of wealth, along with Mahakali and Mahasaraswati. Situated near Mumbai’s coastline, it is famous for its stunning traditional architecture and grand celebrations during Navratri. Devotees visit to seek prosperity and success, especially during festivals when the temple is beautifully decorated.
Both temples are deeply intertwined with Mumbai’s cultural heritage and offer serene spiritual experiences amidst the bustling city life.

About 15 years ago, I visited this temple for the very first time. Back then, I never imagined that one day I’d have to travel all the way from Mumbai by train, carefully planning my trip just to seek the blessings of the Goddess again.
After almost 10 years, the wish I had made has finally been fulfilled, and in 2025, I got the divine opportunity to visit the Goddess once more.
