*Important Update*

Hello hello LAF family

As you might’ve seen on Wednesday’s show I had to abruptly end our broadcast because of an unexpected personal emergency. I expected to have resolved what I’m going through by today before my ATL flight.

Sadly I regret to inform the US Tour will be postponed. I was ready to bring live plane spotting coverage from ATL CLT AND MIA starting tomorrow (Saturday). However life threw a bit of turbulence and the seat belt sign has come on. Sometimes “stuff” happens and you gotta buckle in.

I am already planning on a reschedule date for the cities mentioned above. Once I have them I’ll announce without the “spill the beans” hype.

I feel like I let you down my friends. And for this I apologize.

Don’t worry, I wont take a month long hiatus. I’ll be back next week from LAX and I can’t wait to see you all soon!

I promise you we will have so many planespotting adventures soon. You know me, I can’t stay in one place too long lol

Happy Saturday LAF family!!

So the caveman decided to do a few upgrades. Peter was busy on Friday buying new cameras and lenses for our show. The new equipment’s image quality will be most noticeable during our nighttime shows.

This is why the LAF brothers don’t drive around in a Ferrari😅. We keep trying to seek perfection for our broadcasts. That means buying new tech and “future-proofing” our setup. Also purchased are new capture cards and a few other pieces of video hardware that should help us run more smoothly. With any new equipment, testing is a must. We may run into a few “bugs” here and there, but Josh and I are thinking “long term” with this upgrade.

Also, we have a B I G tour coming up! Peter will be traveling to ATL, CLT, MIA and possibly a fourth airport in the near future. A February extravaganza is looking very promising. I hope you are as excited as this caveman for our first LAF Adventure of 2026!!

We always promise to return every superchat, super sticker, gifted membership and PayPal donation back to LAF in one way or another. Whether it’s a special location, equipment upgrade, or filling up the LAF mobile with gasoline. We promise to always keep our team running as smooth and reliable as possible. We’ll be back doing what we love at LAX on Monday with a camera upgrade on the Directors lounge, and hardware improvements for the main LAF feed.

I’m on DL925 to Seattle. My connection to LAX is DL1628.

My Seattle bound flight is already delayed out of anchorage. For us to start at 12pm from LAX I have to make my connection flight. Worst case scenario the Wednesday show will turn into the Thursday show.

You all know how much we love Lufthansa and their quad jets. We also have the pleasure of knowing several Lufthansa Capts. and FO’s

Our friend FO Timo stole the spotlight during yesterday’s LAX broadcast as he became the first Lufthansa quadjet SHINE THE LIGHT for the 2026 season. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for LAF. We are already on track for an incredible year!!

You thought I flew to LAX didn’t you?

After our last day at JFK, the caveman was up all night plotting our next move.

Instead of resting and sleeping I decided on a New Years surprise. Especially since it’s raining in Los Angeles I decided to make a “left” and head south for a quick two day special.

MIA Edition was supposed to begin yesterday Friday, however the wind patterns had different plans for LAF. MIA wind conditions did not favor our favorite plane spotting location. I came to the conclusion it wasn’t going to be the high quality and action packed broadcast we are used to.

With a heavy heart I decided overnight to fly back home to LAX and wait out the rain which should move on by Tuesday of next week. I really wish I could’ve seen your reaction when I stared the New Years surprise special from MIA. As you know, Josh and I always try to go the extra million miles for our big avgeek family #norest

I haven’t slept in two days and I’m already planning our next move. You know me!! I don’t want to sit around and wait for rain to move on.

Perhaps you might see me somewhere special in the next few days?? Is the last picture foreshadowing a two-three day special?? Hmmmmmm???? I’m pretty sure I’ll be seeing the outside view from inside of a plane at least a few times this year😁

What a first show of 2026!!!!

The year has literally just begun and already we have a moment that will be a contender for the highlight of the year! From 0 to nearly 3000 people tracking DL106, the LAF family made Angela’s flight #1 most tracked!!!! I found incredibly heartwarming to see a flight to LA (LA FLIGHT) escorting Angela’s Frankfurt flight as she made her way to the runway. Truly amazing moment.

Angela did a phenomenal job standing in the freezing cold the entire week to celebrate the holidays with us. IT-IS-NOT-EASY to be out in these conditions for multiple hours, be away from from home, especially when a caveman is next to you “bothering” you 😅

Not easy BUT she did it for LAF. An unforgettable Christmas/New Year special from the TWA Hotel. I have to admit, the shows from JFK wouldn’t have been as long because of the freezing temperatures. Angela not only made the shows so much fun but made it possible for me to do more than 8-9 hours every day. We all will miss you Angela!

Josh and I will make 2026 the be the biggest year ever for LAF. I can’t wait to spill the beans when the time is ready. Joshua and I will always go the extra million miles, spend the extra hours no matter the weather conditions for the BEST FAMILY AROUND, #teamlaflights!!!!!!!!
