Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our editorial and production team. The ideal candidate has a sharp editorial sense, strong storytelling skills and hands-on experience with editing news packages, interviews and social-first videos.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit daily news videos, explainer content, interviews, and digital shorts for YouTube, Instagram, X, and other platforms.
• Work closely with producers, anchors, and reporters to craft stories that are accurate, fast-paced, and visually engaging.
• Add transitions, lower-thirds, motion graphics, subtitles, sound effects, and background scores to enhance viewer retention.
• Maintain visual consistency with brand tone and format templates.
• Quickly turn around edits to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Stay updated with current trends in digital video, social media formats, and storytelling techniques.
Requirements:
• 1–3 years of experience as a video editor, preferably in news, digital media, or online content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of news cycles and journalistic ethics is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• A portfolio or reel of edited video work is mandatory.
