The connection between building the right tech skills and rising to greater opportunities in the tech ecosystem is truly powerful.
I recently had an insightful conversation with Professor Silva Opuala-Charles of the Garden City Premier Business School, and one key idea stood out: when you intentionally upgrade your skills, you unlock bigger opportunities, increase your earning potential, and gain access to the global open source community where learning, collaboration, and innovation never stop.
Keep learning, keep building, and the opportunities will keep expanding.
Nigerians will attend social events and deliberately spend money to access cash just to spray.
Funds are transferred from a bank account to a POS agent, service charges are paid, cash is collected, and then publicly sprayed at the event after which the same money re-enters circulation.
This practice highlights a strong cultural preference for cash as a symbol of celebration, visibility, and social status. In many settings, physical cash represents success and presence in a way digital transfers do not.
From a broader perspective, it raises important questions about our transition to a cashless economy. While financial technology has simplified how we store and move money, deeply rooted social norms still influence how value is expressed. The lesson is clear: technology can drive efficiency, but culture ultimately shapes behavior.
Coursera and Udemy are set to merge in a landmark ~$2.5 billion deal, creating a global online learning powerhouse and reshaping the future of digital education.
Looking back at my tech journey, I see how small steps, daily learning, and staying curious made all the difference. Growth didn’t happen overnight, but every experience added value.
Tech has taught me that consistency beats speed, and progress comes to those who keep showing up.
Still learning, still evolving, and grateful for how far the journey has come.
I’m reminding myself that how I show up matters. I don’t want to be busy, I want to be intentional. I’m putting my energy into what truly moves me forward, not the noise that only looks productive.
I’m deliberate with my time, focused on my goals, and mindful of what drains me.
Love was truly in the air as I had the honour of attending the beautiful wedding of my dear friend, Victoria Georgewill, to her heartrob.
From the joy on their faces to the warmth of family and friends, every moment reflected genuine love, commitment, and new beginnings. It was a celebration filled with laughter and happiness.
Wishing Victoria and her better half a lifetime of love, peace, and endless happiness as they begin this amazing journey together.
I had the privilege of serving as the resource person for a training session with the Social Media Team of Hon. Alex Egbona, member of the Nigerian Federal House of Representatives representing the Yakurr/Abi constituency in Cross River State.
The session, themed “Nexus Between Development, Social Media Tools and Reputation Management,” explored how social media can drive development, enhance public engagement, and strengthen reputation management.
The strategic use of social media can promote development, shape perceptions, and improve communication outcomes.
Responsible and creative social media use is essential for individuals and organizations seeking to connect meaningfully with their audiences.

Last Friday, a group of amazing young people I had the privilege of working with during their school years graduated from Rivers State University.
Seeing them cross this important milestone filled me with pride and gratitude.
Their hard work, resilience, and growth have all led to this moment.
The future is bright for each of them, and I wish them nothing but success as they move into the next chapter of their lives.
Keep going. The world is waiting for your impact.
