I was the only brave, perhaps crazy, soul to race a dual rear engine kart in the Vintage Open Class at the 30th Annual Rock Island Grand Prix. Led the first 4 laps from the drop of the green of the Saturday Qualifier Race. Finished second in that race, but plagued with engine issues all weekend. Photo by Alberta Danley.

Picture from 2025 VKA Delmar of our dual rear engine kart. Putting it back together after it decided to chuck the 3rd bearing support. Vibrations from these terrible engines will do that sometimes. Ran with a lot more snot than it did at Springfield. This was our last VKA race for the season, but more vintage karting is on the schedule. 2025 VKA Springfield individual heat races are going up on our other channel Vintage Go-Kart Racing here on Youtube. We coverage coming up from VKA Springfield, VKA New Castle, VKA Norway, and vintage kart races from Brodhead. We just posted a VLOG from IRA Bumper to Bumper Outlaw Sprint Cars at Mississippi Thunder Speedway. We have VKA Delmar, the Rock Island Grand Prix, and two more vintage kart events from Brodhead coming as well.

I'm back. Been awhile, been busy with real life and some other things. If you have not seen the announcement on our Facebook Page we have created another channel and we are going to be migrating all of the vintage kart racing in the future over to that channel. The Vintage Karting Association has released their 2025 Schedule. As a reminder, we are not affiliated with the VKA, other than paying an annual due to participate in their events. There will be more vintage karting dates to be scheduled in the midwest. One that we know for sure is scheduled is the Rock Island Grand Prix which of course is during Labor Day Weekend with vintage classes. So the schedule thus far:

A couple of announcements, 1. TNT Kartways is no more. The track like many in the midwest has been sold and as you can see in the one pic, they are already tearing it up. 2. Concept Haulers Motor Speedway has been sold as well. However, unlike TNT Kartways it is going to stay in operation and has been renamed Norway Motorsports Park. We will not be changing titles on this past years vintage kart races. Just be aware if you travel to this event, the track has a new name. The previous Owners are retiring.

A flurry of activity. Finally getting around to finishing up editing on the vintage kart races from New Castle Motor Speedway, and starting the editing of the vintage kart races at Concept Haulers Motor Speedway and The Cheryl Neilson Memorial Vintage Kart Races held at 61 Kartway. Plenty of content coming all winter long, leading into next season.
