We have been slowly working on our “Part 2” episode of our “The Bennet Sisters Project” since we finished Part 1. We are hoping to post this next episode by the end of January. Happy New Year’s everyone!
Currently researching for and working on our next project, “Irish Heritage” coming in March! Below is a picture of my great-great grandmother and her parents and siblings around 1885-1890. She married my great-great grandfather whose grandparents came over from Ireland most likely during the potato famine. Both sides of this family are Irish. My daughters and I are currently making Irish clothing from the 14th-16th century as well as clothing from around when this picture was taken as well as traditional Irish Saint Patrick’s Day food to honor and highlight our Irish heritage. Stay tuned!
Just popping in to let you all know that my newest video featuring “Wild Yeast vs Commercial Yeast” (aka Sourdough VS Regular Homemade Bread) will be posted this coming Friday morning! (January 26th). - I apologize for this taking so long but I wanted to be sure our new sourdough starter - “JoJo” was ready to take on making a sourdough loaf! Thank you for your patience! -We also are starting on our next historical/sewing/tea & food big project!! Exciting things coming!
Recording is underway for our episode of: “Sourdough Bread VS Homemade Yeasted Bread”! Since you have to have a starter to make sourdough bread (one of the big differences between the two types of bread), my girls and I will show how to start two starters - one made traditionally with flour, and the other made with potato flakes so it’s gluten-free!
For our next big project, I have been trying to think of books and movies that are about families with many daughters. I could only think of “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Pride and Prejudice”, and “Meet Me in St. Louis”. Can you think of any others?
I’m still pushing myself to have our Finale of “A Little Women Christmas” to be posted on or by Christmas Eve - despite my kiddos (and now my poor hubby) getting a stomach bug 🥺 In the Finale, my 5 daughters and I will all be dressed in our “made-by-us” 1860’s dresses (including all the other layers, including our aprons, as we make sponge cake, decorate ginger bread cookies, and dabble in some decor and/or ornaments - - before bringing it all together for a Little-Women-inspired Christmas Tea Party. 😅
Any guesses as to what my daughters’ and my next big project is? It’s going to involve authentic (hopefully 🤪), costumes, crafts, and food through “mini episodes” until the Final Reveal Episode in December!
