First Lady Michelle Obama is the Ivy League–educated, most eloquent, most regal, most professional, most articulate, and diplomatically accomplished First Lady since the creation of the United States. She could stand among heads of state, queens, prime ministers, and global leaders with command of protocol, intellect, and respect. She represented the United States with intellectual authority and social grace.

Furthermore, an accomplished author and filmmaker, First Lady Michelle Obama set the intellectual, cultural, and moral standard for the modern First Lady—and remains the definitive blueprint for the office.

The Obamas are an image of what Black excellence looks like—like so many other Black pioneers who have contributed to this country.
