వైయస్సార్సీపి అధినేత, మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి ఇచ్చిన పిలుపుమేరకు ప్రభుత్వ మెడికల్ కాలేజీల ప్రైవేటీకరణ చేయడాన్నీ నిరసిస్తూ జరుగుతున్న కోటి సంతకాల ప్రజా ఉద్యమం విజయవంతంగా కొనసాగుతుందని మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే దక్షిణ నియోజకవర్గ సమన్వయకర్త వాసుపల్లి గణేష్ కుమార్ అన్నారు. ఆశీలమెట్ట కార్యాలయంలో దక్షిణ వైసీపీ శ్రేణులతో శుక్రవారం నిర్వహించిన సమావేశంలో కోటి సంతకాల సేకరణ ప్రజా ఉద్యమం పోస్టర్ను ఆవిష్కరించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా వైఎస్సార్సీపీ శ్రేణులను ఉద్దేశించి వాసుపల్లి మాట్లాడుతూ ఈనెల 28వ తేదీన దక్షణ వైయస్సార్సీపి ఆధ్వర్యంలో భారీ ర్యాలీ జరుగుతుందన్నారు. అశేష జన సమీకరణతో ఈ కార్యక్రమం విజయవంతం చేయాలని వాసుపల్లి పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ప్రజల ద్వారా కోటి సంతకాల సేకరణలో విశేష స్పందన లభిస్తుందని, ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఈ ఉద్యమాన్ని క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో తీసుకువెళ్లాలని వైయస్సార్సీపీ శ్రేణులకు పిలుపునిచ్చారు. వైఎస్ఆర్సిపి ప్రభుత్వం చేసిన అభివృద్ధిని ప్రస్తుత కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం తూట్లు పొడుస్తుందన్నారు.

*COMMISSIONING OF INS ANDROTH - SECOND ASW SHALLOW WATER CRAFT FOR INDIAN NAVY*

The Indian Navy commissioned INS Androth, the second Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), on *06 Oct 2025* . in a ceremonial event held at the Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam.

The ceremony was presided over by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, in the presence of senior naval officers, representatives of M/s Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, and distinguished civilian dignitaries.

INS Androth is a shining symbol of a maritime *_‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’_* with over *80% indigenous* content, INS Androth underscores Indian Navy’s sustained efforts in constantly enhancing indigenous content through homegrown solutions and innovative technologies.

At *77m* in length and displacing about *1500 tonnes,* INS Androth is specially designed to undertake anti-submarine operations in coastal and shallow waters. The vessel, a state-of-the-art submarine hunter, is fitted with advanced weapons, sensors, and communication systems, enabling it to detect, track and neutralise sub-surface threats with precision. It can sustain prolonged operations in shallow waters and is equipped with technologically advanced machinery and control systems.

Powered by three waterjet propulsion systems driven by marine diesel engines, INS Androth is extremely agile and manoeuvrable. Its capabilities extend to Maritime Surveillance, Search and Rescue, coastal defence missions, and Low Intensity Maritime Operations (LIMO) making it a versatile platform for littoral operations.

The commissioning of INS Androth adds a significant punch to the Navy’s ASW capabilities, particularly in countering threats posed by adversaries in the littorals. The ship’s induction underscores the Navy’s continued emphasis on indigenisation, innovation, and capability enhancement, while reaffirming the vital contribution of GRSE in strengthening India’s maritime security architecture.

*The ship has been named after Androth, the northernmost island of the Lakshadweep group, known for its historical and strategic importance in India’s maritime domain.*

The induction of INS Androth stands as a proud milestone in India’s journey towards a modern, self-reliant Navy capable of safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests across the spectrum of conflict.

*Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest emphasised the strategic importance of indigenously built platforms like INS Androth in strengthening India's maritime prowess and safeguarding national interests. The commissioning marks a major step towards bolstering the Navy's capability in Anti-Submarine Warfare and reaffirms India's commitment to regional peace, security, and maritime cooperation.*

Upon commissioning, the FOCINC, visited various parts of the ship and he was provided a detailed briefing on construction journey and newer indigenous capabilities of the ship. He also interacted with the Commissioning Crew of the ship and officials of GRSE and congratulated them for their dedicated efforts towards timely deployment of INS Androth.

Another Super 10 for Ashu, another win for Dabang Delhi as they reign supreme over Gujarat Giants

For the Giants, Aryavardhan Navale stood out with three raid points, supported by Rakesh’s couple of strikes. However, missed Do-Or-Die opportunities meant the Giants couldn’t fully capitalise on Dabang Delhi’s empty raids, leaving the contest finely balanced in the opening phase.

However, the script changed in the second phase of the game. Sandeep Deswal successfully tackled Rakesh, and Ashu followed it up with consecutive successful raids, first dismissing Shubham Kumar and then Sumit. This reduced the Giants to just one player – Parteek Dahiya – who was eventually brought down by Fazel Atrachali, inflicting the ALL OUT.

This set the tone for the remainder of the first half. Shadloui struggled to make an impact and failed to open his account, while Ashu, recovering from a slow start, produced two consecutive multi-point raids to complete his fifth straight Super 10. With strong support from Ajinkya, Dabang Delhi went into the break with a commanding 21-14 lead.


Another ALL OUT loomed over the Giants after multiple successful raids from Dabang Delhi, but Rakesh pulled it back with a touch point on Surjeet Singh. This was followed by a Super Tackle when Ashu stepped into the lobby by mistake.

However, it proved to be just a mini comeback, as the ALL OUT arrived before the end of the third quarter. Shadloui continued to struggle, and Rakesh failed to impress after being tackled by Saurabh Nandal. Aryavardhan was brought down by Fazel, and Ashu picked off Shadloui with a touch point to inflict the second ALL OUT, leaving the score at 31-21 with 10 minutes to play.

In what seemed like a consolation, Parteek Dahiya managed a successful raid against Neeraj Narwal, followed by a multi-point raid that dismissed Surjeet and Sandeep. But for every point the Giants scored, Dabang Delhi had an immediate response.

As the match drew to a close, Dabang Delhi sealed yet another commanding win, with Fazel Atrachali completing his High Five after tackling Parteek. Shadloui finally opened his account with successful tackles on Ajinkya and Mohit, but it was too little too late. Led confidently by Ashu Malik, Dabang Delhi wrapped up a 10-point victory to make it five wins in five.

Inches separate the two sides as U Mumba clinch victory in last raid thriller against Patna Pirates

*Vizag, September 11, 2025:* In the penultimate game of the first leg of PKL 12, U Mumba edged past the Patna Pirates in a nail-biting contest, pulling off a thrilling 40-39 victory at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag on Thursday.

Ayan Lohchab scripted history to become the first player to record successive 20-point games in PKL history, but was left heartbroken as a costly unforced error in the dying seconds tilted the game away from his side. For U Mumba, Amirmohammad Zafardanesh starred with a Super 10, while Anil made vital contributions in what turned out to be a high-scoring night.

U Mumba were quick off the blocks in this contest, as Vijay Kumar tackled Ayan Lohchab and Anil recorded a two-point raid to give the Season 2 champions a three-point lead. Milan Dahiya opened the scoring for the Patna Pirates, and they were soon back on level terms courtesy of a successful Do-or-Die raid from Ayan.

Zafardanesh then helped U Mumba regain the lead with a brilliant Super Raid, as his side began to take control of the game, opening up a six-point gap. On the brink of an ALL OUT, Ayan Lohchab stood tall for the Pirates with his brilliance on the offensive end, reducing the deficit to just two points, with the score at 9-11 after the first quarter.

U Mumba eventually inflicted the ALL OUT on their opponents, with captain Sunil Kumar leading the way through his first tackle of the night. The Anil Chaprana-led side looked defensively superior, maintaining a seven-point gap with under five minutes left in the first half.

Ayan Lohchab continued his fine form, completing his Super 10 in the opening half. Despite his best efforts, the Patna Pirates trailed by eight points at the break, with the score reading 23-15.

In the opening five minutes of the second half, the Patna Pirates came storming back into the contest. There was no stopping Ayan Lohchab, as his brilliance helped his side inflict their first ALL OUT and bring the scores level. The two teams continued to trade blows, with the scoreboard reading 29-29 heading into the final ten minutes.

Anil and Zafardanesh kept U Mumba in the fight, but Ayan remained unstoppable, keeping the Pirates narrowly ahead with a two-point lead as the clock ticked down to the last five minutes.

Zafardanesh then completed his Super 10, pulling U Mumba back on level terms at 34-34. However, the Pirates regained the advantage thanks to Ayan Lohchab’s sensational effort, as he notched up his second successive 20-point performance.

With under two minutes left, a timely Super Tackle from U Mumba cut the deficit to just one point. Zafardanesh struck with a four second raid to keep U Mumba in the game, levelling the scores with less than five seconds remaining as a tie-breaker seemed imminent and giving Ayan a final chance to seal victory in the last raid. But in the heat of the moment, he committed an unforced error by stepping into the lobby, a mistake that cost his team dearly and handed U Mumba the narrowest of wins.

Aditya, Pankaj shine as Puneri Paltan beat UP Yoddhas, return to top of PKL 12 standings

*Vizag, September 10, 2025:* Puneri Paltan had a brilliant day at the office as they thumped UP Yoddhas 43-32 at the Vishwanadh Sports Club on Wednesday night. The win was powered by Super 10s from Aditya Shinde and Pankaj Mohite, while Gaurav Khatri chipped in with a solid High Five. For the Yoddhas, Gagan Gowda stood out once again with yet another Super 10.

Puneri Paltan opened the match on a positive note with a successful raid from Aslam Inamdar to claim the first point. However, UP Yoddhas immediately responded through Guman Singh to level the score at 1-1.

The momentum shifted when Pankaj Mohite produced a Super Raid, securing four points and giving Puneri a 7-3 lead. But an error from Mohite soon after allowed the Yoddhas to execute a Super Tackle, narrowing the gap to 6-7. The Yoddhas’ Guman Singh then added another point to bring the score level at 7-7.

UP Yoddhas briefly went ahead with a two-point lead, but Puneri Paltan fought back to make it even again before the first time-out. After the break, Paltan regained control with three consecutive points, stretching the lead to 12-9 with just over seven minutes left in the first half.

The Paltan extended their advantage further by inflicting an ALL OUT, pushing the score to 16-12. Although the Yoddhas picked up a few points late in the half, Puneri held firm and went into the break with a solid 21-16 lead.

Puneri Paltan began the second half strongly with a well-executed tackle to extend their lead. The turning point came soon after when Aditya Shinde’s successful raid helped the Paltan inflict another ALL OUT, pushing the score to 27-17.

Shinde maintained his momentum and soon completed his Super 10 with another successful raid. While he spearheaded the attack, Paltan’s defence stayed sharp and denied UP Yoddhas any chance of closing the gap. At the second-half time-out, the Paltan were firmly in control with a 32-21 lead.

After the break, the pattern of the game remained unchanged. The Paltan quickly added to their tally and inflicted a second ALL OUT in the half, stretching their advantage to 37-22 and creating a massive 15-point cushion. Pankaj Mohite also joined the party by completing his Super 10, capping off another consistent outing.

In the end, Puneri Paltan maintained their dominance on both ends of the mat and sealed the contest with a comprehensive 11-point victory, returning to winning ways and reclaiming the top spot on the points table.
