I'm Lesley, Mom to 12, Gran of 23 beautiful children, Sewist, Artist, and passionate Creative. I am here to invite you to The Sewing Circle. For those of you who may not know, a sewing circle is a group of people (you and I) who meet regularly for the purpose of sewing, chatting, community, connection, and advice. In my former life as a Mennonite, our sewing circle was a place to come work on sewing projects. As we spent the day together, we exchanged advice on household management, pregnancy and childbirth, marriage, and recipes as well as stories from years gone by. Our lunch was potluck style. We enjoyed ourselves, and as our children played together, we gathered around in love and community. Here, I strive to create the same atmosphere.
I upload a sewing video every Friday at 6 AM. for #Fridaysews.
So grab your coffee, snack, and sewing project... Let's go to Sewing Circle!

2️⃣ Answer the question (post your answer in the comments of the video or on the giveaway post):
What part of sewing do you find the most challenging?
🗓️ Deadline: All entries must be posted by February 4th and drawing will be held February 6th.
🏆 Winners: One lucky commenter will be randomly selected. Winner will be announced in a follow‑up video on Friday February 6th and contacted via the email associated with their YouTube account.
My answer to the challenge question:
The most challenging part of sewing for me is getting the fit right, especially when working with garments that require precise shaping (like sleeves, darts, or curve seams). Even with a well‑written pattern, every body is different, so adjusting the grainline, taking accurate measurements, and making seamless alterations can be a bit of a puzzle. Once the fit is nailed down, everything else falls into place much more smoothly!
Good luck, happy sewing, and I can’t wait to read your answers!! ~ Lesley

The last week has been a whirlwind attending ASG Sewing Retreat and dealing with the passing of my Dad. I hope to be back on YouTube with all news from my sewing retreat this week.

I am unable to post this weeks video. I got a call early this morning that my dad was in critical condition. I was at a sewing retreat so loaded up my stuff and drove 7 hrs to be with Dad. Unfortunately, he passed 😔 ten min before I arrived. I will be back next week.
