Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series is rumored to introduce a new “Privacy Display” feature, according to well-known leaker Ice Universe. Unlike traditional privacy modes that limit viewing angles across the entire screen, this new hardware-based solution can selectively protect specific areas—such as notification pop-ups or password input fields—making it far more practical for everyday use. The feature is expected to greatly improve privacy when using the phone in public, though it’s still unclear whether it will be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra or available across the entire S26 lineup.
In addition, Ice Universe has confirmed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the first Galaxy smartphone to feature a 10-bit display, marking a major leap from the current 8-bit panels. This upgrade allows the display to show up to 1.07 billion colors, compared to the 16.7 million colors supported by 8-bit screens. As a result, users can expect smoother color gradients, reduced banding, and richer, more accurate HDR visuals.
What do you think about these rumored upgrades?
