All about our feathered friends, as well as some of the individual wild birds that I have known for over a decade. I hope to get people more interested in birds realizing just how incredible they are. It's a rewarding experience that connects you with nature!

My lovely Blue gave his mate, Miss Pretty a food offering. Male blue Jays do this as a way to cement their bond and show he can provide for a family. Here's an older narrated video of mine showing this behavior. https://youtu.be/RgALxIPUGqo?si=lWocB...

There she goes, there she goes again..πΆ my girl Snow White is so skittish that lately she rarely gives me a posed moment, only beautiful departures π¦ a flash of blue, peanut in beak and she's gone like a snowflake in the wind. π©΅ βοΈ

A male Downy Woodpecker. Picture taken with a Google pixel 10 pro, at 10x zoom. I am amazed with how far phones have come when it comes to photography. This photo isn't edited, I also never fiddled with ISO or anything like that, I just let the phone do what it does. The detail on his feathers, the color, lighting and everything about this photo is well, great imo. In no way will this replace my camera though. Instead, it's a substitute for those really cold days when I shouldn't be risking using my camera. It gets the job done pretty well I think, and my camera gets to live to see another day. π©΅π¦βΊοΈ

The distinguished Snow White looking to be up to her chest in snow. She's actually not. I'm crouched down to take this picture, and there's a small hump of snow in front of her. This blue jay is quite unique looking due to her very pale white face, lack of dark facial markings and pale blue plumage. I think she's beautiful. π¦π©΅

Love those gravity-defying poses, the kinda ones you only get from Nuthatches. π These are Red-breasted Nuthatches, Pumpkin (male) and Gabby (female). Males are a brighter orange, and have darker backs and head patterns. 1st. Pumpkin, 2nd. Gabby ( love that upturned beak) 3rd. Pumpkin, 4th Gabby and last, Pumpkin again ππ§‘π¦βΊοΈ
