If you can build a small playhouse / shed like this, you can easily modify the size to build a larger structure similar to it! My son and I are loving building this project. Have you built a shed or playhouse before? I'd love to hear! Cheers - Pete

Looking forward to sharing this build with you! Over the next few weeks we'll be building a 6 foot by 6 foot kid's playhouse with a single pitch roof. This can easily be modified to be a small shed size or to any custom dimensions you'd like. Steps will be broken down into bite size pieces to show exactly how you could build something similar. Let me know what you think of the style of the videos, length, etc. A full build video will be made once the project is complete. Follow along if you'd like! Cheers - Pete

Thank you for providing feedback in the last post! From the initial responses, it sounds like you are interested in long form videos for the most part.
Unfortunately the Poll only has the option to pick only 4 items. So if you have a minute and would like to chime in on your favorite types of projects or any additional feedback I would appreciate it and will read every bit of feedback I can get :)
Please use the letter of what you are interested in or type your interests. While the initial channel was built on simple woodworking projects, it's evolved into a little more of the home improvement / homesteading due to getting a fix'er upper on acreage. Hoping to still be able to provide content that is the best fit for you overall.
Thanks and cheers! - Pete

Hey guys! Wanted to check in as we continue to plan out 2026 and the direction we want to go. Over the past few years I have not posted as frequently as I once did. With our 2 little kiddos ( 1 and 3 ), we've focused on some different priorities.
That being said, I'm looking to get back on Youtube and to create more videos to hopefully help and inspire fellow DIY'ers. With changing algorithms, it has been more of a challenge for my recent videos to be seen, so we've been focusing on being consistent on Youtube "shorts" to help in bringing back consistency. Some of the shorts are of repurposed content not shown in short form, so I apologize for bring a few older projects in front of you if you've already seen them.
Please let me know what types of projects you'd like to see and if you are interested more in long form content or short form content. My goal it to bring value and DIY inspiration to others.

Hey guys! I realize a small percentage of you follow this channel for hockey projects, but it is a big passion of our families and we enjoy sharing the journey each year with those who like to see it.
The Season 5 Rink build will be coming out within the next 1-2 weeks and I'm wanting to hear what you'd like to see more of in this years video. Past videos have been between 20-30 minutes and focused on the overall build process.
This year, I did post 3 videos already ( boards, netting, and under ice lighting ) so I'll be able to refer to them for more detailed information. With the time I free up, what would you like to see?
More focus on maintaining the ice? More video showing people skating on and using the rink? More information about the warming house? Or something else? Please share. I'd love your input to help make this years rink video helpful and inspiring! Comment below please!
Cheers - Pete

Hey guys!
I'm continuing to plan new resources and projects for 2024 and want to hear what your woodworking skill level is.
On a scale of 1-5 ( 1 being beginner and 5 being expert ) what would you say your skill level is? Please let me know your rating in the pole below.
Your feedback will give me the best opportunity to create the most helpful and valuable content for you this year.
Thanks!

It has been a while, but I wanted to give an update on this years rink build. I unfortunately tore my ACL and meniscus in my knee playing adult league hockey in November. I tried to rehab for a while thinking it was a just a meniscus injury, but an MRI showed the completely torn ACL once I went in for it.. Surgery went smoothly and I’m on the rehab side of things as of this week. We are super bummed not to get to share the rink this year as it is one of our favorite projects we look forward to building. We also love having folks up to skate. A year off from the rink has meant getting to spend more time with our 8 month old and that is something I am thankful for. Hoping to be back out on the ice next year. Until then there is plenty of footage from other projects that can be uploaded and I’m looking forward to getting back in the shop in about a month. Hope you are doing well and take care! @niceink7684 @bauerhockey @odrheaven #odr #backyardhockey

Hey guys! I need your help. The last video on how the 12x20 Ultimate shed was built seems to be popular with viewers and I'm thinking about doing something similar but smaller. I'm looking at designing a small, efficient, and affordable backyard shed that would be customized into an office. With a newborn in the house, separating the work environment from the house has been a great way to improve productivity and give me a quiet working area. Would anyone be interested in a build like this? If so, what size would you like to see built and what would you use it for? I'm thinking a smaller footprint and lower roof to help make it easier for approval with home owners associations. Would love to hear your ideas and feedback. Thanks!! - Pete

Hey guys! The last few years have been a little overwhelming remodeling our entire home, but that is 95% complete and I'm excited to get back to working on normal woodworking projects, smaller home improvement projects, landscaping improvements, and other fun projects. I'm curious what you'd like to see as I want the projects to be of value and inspiration to you. Could you please drop a comment below and let me know? I'd love to hear from you. Thank you! - Pete
