Heavenly Father,
We lift up the leaders of our land before You.

even when decisions are difficult.
Lord, guard them from corruption, pride, and self-interest.
Surround them with wise counsel and people of truth.
Let righteousness, peace, and compassion guide their leadership.
We pray for peace in our land,
for laws that protect the vulnerable,
and for leadership that seeks the good of all people.
Turn hearts toward what is good and pleasing in Your sight.
Where there is darkness, bring light.
Where there is division, bring unity.
Where there is fear, bring wisdom and courage.

marked by godliness and dignity,
as You work through those in authority over us.
