The Doberman is an elegant, powerful and intelligent dog breed that was originally bred in Germany. It was developed in the 19th century by Friedrich Louis Dobermann, who was looking for a reliable watchdog and protection dog.
Characteristics of the Doberman:
Appearance: Muscular, athletic and elegant with a short, shiny coat (usually black with rust-red markings, less often brown, blue or isabella).
Size: Dogs about 68-72 cm, females 63-68 cm shoulder height.
Character: Intelligent, loyal, alert and very humane. Dobermans are known for their strong bond with their family and protective instinct.
Temperament: Self-confident, energetic and eager to learn - they need consistent education and a lot of movement!
