Hi, I’m Sonia Nicolson – Architect, former University Lecturer, and creative mentor.

I help architecture students and creative women build confidence through hand drawing, sketching, and visual thinking – without perfection or pressure.

This channel began as our moving-to-Iceland journey and family vlogs. Over the years, life has evolved – marriage, two children, and settling into everyday life in Reykjavík.

Alongside real life, I’ve returned to my roots as an architect and sketcher. Here you’ll find drawing tutorials, sketching confidence tips, behind-the-scenes creative process, and simple lessons to help you draw just like an architect.

Hæ hæ everyone,
If you’ve been here a while, you’ll remember I used to vlog weekly - sharing my move to Iceland, getting married, and starting our family here. It was such a lovely way to document that season and connect with so many of you. ❤️

But over time, things changed. Unfortunately, some of our videos were taken and reposted without permission, including clips of our children. That was a real turning point for me, and I’ve been taking a break from YouTube ever since.

Right now, I’m not sure exactly what direction this channel will take. I am feeling a pull to align it more with my work - teaching, mentoring, and encouraging women in architecture and design. But I’m still figuring that out.
