📑Throughout the Bible, we see the history of God’s chosen people repeatedly turning back to idolatry. When they would pray to Him, God would delay His judgment, but they would not sustain their dependence on Him for long. (Does this sound familiar?) Israel experienced these periodic breaks in their idol worship; they rarely showed genuine faith. (Does this sound familiar?)

🔔It is not enough to say no to sin; WE must also say yes to a life of commitment to God. Your occasional call for help is not a substitute for a daily life of trust in Him.

🔔If serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, if it’s just so unacceptable in your sight to truly serve the LORD, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve: Idols or God‼️

🗞️🚨🫶🏽
First, God called, and then Jacob (who was renamed by God to Israel, which is the Father of the nation from whom the 12 patriarchs came, “Nation of Israel, Tribe of Israel”) answered God, “Here am I.”
👀 So here we see there is communication between two individuals who have a relationship.
God then gives him instruction. Yet, before giving the instruction, God encourages him first. And since God is not a man that He should lie (Num 23:19), we can say this is Him reminding Jacob of one of many promises. 👀 I will go down with you, and I will SURELY 📕, meaning: without any question, hands down, doubtless, easily, definitely, MUST. I need to keep going...

🤔 Think about it / Ask yourself why:Why did God encourage him? Why did God reassure him? Why did God remind him?
God then gave new instructions, along with a little insight into what will happen. Not every detail, but He didn’t send him blindly into the new situation.

These instructions were new, and Jacob responded with action. He rose up, gathered everything and everyone that was to go with him.

If you say you trust God, then when God gives you new instructions, not just little ones but the bigger ones, you respond. But maybe you have a little doubt (that’s not trust), or you answer and then, when it’s time to move, things don’t look like what you thought they would. And since God told you it should be smooth as butter and perfect, right? WRONG. So now, because it’s not, you’re ready to throw in the towel. But if He said He will go down with you, He said He will be with you, and He said surely, but now you’re doubting Him. You have allowed fear to enter, which will cause you to reject what God said.

Where is your faith? Where is your trust? What have you allowed to come up and stop you from moving?

We are called to obey God with haste and finish what we started!

📑🤓 46:3,4 God told Jacob to leave his home and travel to a strange and faraway land, but God reassured him by promising to go with him and take care of him. When new situations or surroundings frighten, you recognize that experience and fear is normal to be paralyzed by fear, however is an indication that you questioning God’s ability to take care of you.

📑🙏🏽4- Jacob never returned to Canaan. This was a promise to his descendants that they would return.”Joseph shall put his hand upon thy eyes” refers to attending to him as he faith death. It was God‘s promise that he would never know the pain of being lonely again.

Jesus will exclude from the city “ whosoever love it and make it a lie.” These are people who lives have gone so wrong that they resemble Satan, who deceived the whole world (Read Revelation 12:9, 13:13-15; 16:14). They are hypocrites, trying to live one way while pretending to believe another. They are like the Nicolatianes, mentioned in Rev. 2:15, who were among the believers, but compromise their faith in order to also include worship of the Roman Empire❗️John records Jesus statement that Satan is the father of lies. (read John 8:44).
Today we see leaders who twist the truth, serve their purposes. 😡 Many people have lost their ability to distinguish what’s true from what they wish was true.
Dishonest people soon begin to believe the lies. They construct around themselves then they lose the ability to tell the difference between truth and lies by believing your own lies. You deceive yourself, you alienate yourself from God, and you lose credibility in all your relationships. In the long run, honesty wins out.

Repent, surrender, live holy and separate from the world! Be honest!
Jesus is coming for his bride(male/female), the church soon! 💐🫶🏽💃🏽🕺🏿
