I’m taking a short break from long-form videos but still posting daily Shorts, as I focus on writing another book.

I just completed Israel: The Key to the West, and now I’m working on what may be the most explosive investigation I’ve ever undertaken: Torn Apart at Birth.

This book exposes how the U.S. Department of Children and Families (DCF) can operate as an authoritarian arm of the state—dismantling families with no real democratic oversight. In Connecticut, unqualified social workers are empowered to act as unchecked agents of the system—more like jackbooted enforcers than public servants—shielded by bureaucracy and state and federal policy.

This story, set in Fairfield County, is almost too disturbing to believe. I have access to confidential documents in a case where a newborn was taken from its mother at birth—without a single charge ever filed against her. The baby was later placed in the custody of the epileptic, brain-damaged father, who had a documented history of alcohol and drug abuse. The mother and her family were erased from the process—cut off from updates, reports, and any say in the child’s welfare—because they dared to challenge the Department.

The grandmother’s story adds another layer—she has a history with DCF that reveals just how far-reaching and dangerous the agency’s power has become. Her account lays bare the fine line between actual abuse and what the Department labels as abuse. In many cases, it’s not abusive parents harming children—but state policy itself. Connecticut’s system allows families to be targeted and dismantled based on arbitrary decisions and bureaucratic overreach.

This isn’t just a story about one family—it’s a case study in how democracy erodes from within. When the state can seize a child without due process, without charges, and without accountability, we are no longer living in a functioning democracy.
