Iron Lung should NOT have worked. A two-hour movie set almost entirely inside a tiny sub? Yeah, that should have been cooked. And yet… it feels fresh and new. My review is live. Let me know what you think!
Is Wuthering Heights a sweeping tragic romance like the marketing implies… or is it a beautifully filmed emotional wreck? My review is live... and I’m still thinking about it because some of those scenes are stuck in my head!
What do you think? Is it a truly tragic epic romance or a modern spin on a toxic relationship? I wonder what Emily Bronte would think?
A Lesson in One Photo: ... Dear studios, this is how you get both women and men interested (if not excited) for your new epic Highlander remake in a time when people are burnt out on remakes.
Oh. My. God. You guys Episode 3 of Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is so good. That's how you set up expectations and then deliver them in a tight short episode that leaves viewers wanting more. This is a show you should be watching.
I'll be doing a short review for Episode 3. In the meantime, if you haven't watched my original review for Episodes 1-2, here it is!
I went deep into the story mechanics on this one, not to tear the series apart, but to really understand why parts of Starfleet Academy feel a little “off” to so many viewers. I really want to help viewers and studios to understand why the series is not getting the desired response.
In this episode, I break down 4 key topics, including why I think they shuffled scenes between episodes and why I think some of the people working on this series might have used AI (this is my own guess without talking to any staff). I also get into what the show is actually trying to accomplish with its sci-fi focus and why I thought the Klingon storyline is genuinely the most Star Trek story of the series, so far.
This isn’t a rage review... I promise. It’s a constructive look at storytelling, editing (for writers, video editor, and studio executives), and where the series may be undermining itself.
If you’ve been enjoying the show, struggling with it, or somewhere in between, I’d love to hear your thoughts after watching my review.
I just posted my review of HBO’s new series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on George R.R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg stories.
Instead of focusing on kings, politics, and dragons, this series follows a hedge knight just trying to live honorably in a hard-cold world and honestly, it feels like a return to the story-first Westeros many of us fell in love with in early Game of Thrones.

Starfleet Academy is already getting a LOT of strong reactions online. I just posted my review of episodes 1-3, and I tried to make it as balanced and fair as possible so that you could decide for yourself if this is a series that you would like to try out.
OMG. This Brat Pack video is for all of my GenX friends! Some genius made this AI video... and the combo of the video and the music just brings back all of the GenX feels for me. What do you think?
If you know anything about me, you know I appreciate smart and intelligent technology. What I appreciate more is humanity's ability to step back and let nature do what nature does best. I really loved this short video about nature's engineers (THE BEAVER!) ... even if the voice over seems be from an AI. I think it's a great video. So, I am sharing it with you.
