My name is Brian Rowe, and I'm here to explore the extraordinary world of all things Oscar.

I've been obsessed with the Academy Awards since I was nine years old and watched my hero Steven Spielberg clean house at the 1994 ceremony with his back-to-back masterpieces Jurassic Park and Schindler's List. I started studying the history of the Oscars soon thereafter and have been fascinated by all the winners, nominees, no-shows, and controversies ever since.

I hold a BA in Film Production, MA in English, and MFA in Creative Writing, and what I try to bring to my videos each week is a mix of well-researched analysis and entertaining commentary that bring a new level of insight to you, the viewer.

I post a new video about the Oscars every Tuesday. It doesn't matter if you're an Academy Awards expert or simply interested in cinema, I guarantee you'll find something that interests you.

RIP James Van Der Beek. I was literally watching an episode of Dawson’s Creek when I saw the sad news. This show meant so much to me as a teenager, and it’s comfort viewing today, a blast of nostalgia that fills me with joy. Thank you, James, for Dawson Leery. You made an impact.
