Welcome to the official Dhanak TV youtube channel. Back in the days before the internet age people who moved from Pakistan, India or neighboring countries had no platform and source of entertainment. Suhail Rana, a young pharmacist who moved to the land of opportunities – United States from Karachi in 1975, started the monthly South Florida Pakistani newspaper Humwatan, which means “fellow countryman.” The newspaper was a success and people loved it since it wasn’t the age of the internet where everything was available online. Later he decided to start a television show called Dhanak, or “Rainbow.” The one-hour show was on WLRN-Ch 17. He was also producer of Asian American Focus.

Fast Forward 15 years later, He decided to bring back Dhanak. Not as a TV show but initially as a youtube channel for the desi community.
