నేను కుక్కను.
వీధి నా తల్లి,
ఆకాశం నా పైకప్పు.

సనాతన ధర్మం
నన్ను తక్కువగా చూడలేదు —
కాలభైరవుని వాహనంగా,
నాలుగు కాళ్లపై నడిచే వేదమంత్రంగా
నన్ను నిలిపింది.
నాకు పేరు పెట్టలేదు…
కానీ లోకం నన్ను
విశ్వాసం అని పిలిచింది.

నేను మనిషిని
నన్ను నేనుకన్నా ఎక్కువగా ప్రేమించాను.
అతని అడుగుల వెనుక
నా జీవితాన్ని పెట్టాను.
అతని నవ్వులో నా ఆట,
అతని తలుపు దగ్గర నా ప్రార్థన.
నాకు కావాల్సింది తక్కువే —
ఒక ముద్ద అన్నం,
ఒక ముద్ద ప్రేమ.
తల వంచి నమస్కరిస్తాను,
రాత్రంతా మేల్కొని
నా ప్రాణాల్ని గోడలా చేసి
వారి ఇళ్లను కాపాడుతాను.

కానీ…

ఈ రోజు నా వీధుల్లో
మానవత్వం కనిపించడంలేదు.
నీరు లేదు.
ఆహారం లేదు.
చెత్తకుండీల్లో వెతుకుతున్నప్పుడు కూడా
రాళ్లు నా మీద పడుతున్నాయి.
కొంతమంది వచ్చారు —
చేతుల్లో సూదులు,
హృదయాల్లో శూన్యం.
ఆ సూదుల తర్వాత
నా స్నేహితులు
నిద్రపోయారు…
మళ్లీ లేవలేదు.

ఇప్పుడు
ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లినా మనిషి
కళ్ళలో ద్వేషం,
చేతుల్లో భయం,
రాళ్లలో తీర్పు.
అయినా
నన్ను కొట్టిన చేతిని నేను కరవను.
నన్ను తరిమిన లోకాన్నే
ఇంకా నమ్ముతాను.
ఒక చిన్న దయ కనిపిస్తే
నా తోక ఊపుతుంది —
అది నా చివరి ప్రార్థన.

ప్రియమైన మనుషులారా,
నేను దేవుడి వాహనం,
కానీ మీ తలుపు ముందే
ఆకలితో కూర్చున్నాను.
నాకు స్వర్గం వద్దు.
నాకు రాజ్యాలు వద్దు.
కావాల్సింది ఒక్కటే-
కొద్దిగా ఆహారం,
కొద్దిగా ప్రేమ.

Some residents of a housing community in Hyderabad wrongly assumed the dog was rabid and took it upon themselves to kill it. Who gave them the right to end an innocent animal’s life? In reality, the dog had been abandoned months ago and had become aggressive due to fear, neglect, and prolonged suffering. On the evening of the 24th, a few rescuers arrived and tried to explain the situation to the residents and save the dog. Tragically, despite being highly educated, they refused to listen or show even basic humanity, and in a horrifying act of cruelty, the dog was burned alive. Where is God???where is kindness and empathy. ?????????
