Hi, I have lived and breathed vintage & classic cars, old lorries, automobilia and more here in the UK since the mid-1980s when I first laid a spanner on the decomposing remains of a 1967 Triumph Spitfire. I learnt to drive in a Mk1 Mini, and took my test in our Austin A40 Mk1. I created the Old Classic Car (OCC) site in 2001 to reflect my own interests in the world of aged automobiles and is updated regularly. I hope that my videos about these characterful old cars, and my obsessions about them, help raise the profile of these wonderful relics of motoring's past. Hi all, a free bacon butty & coffee is offered to anyone that takes an appropriate car to the regular Cholmondeley Arms car meet, as a thank-you for prepping and bringing along a car to support the event (especially in iffy weather!). Much appreciated it is too. In Saturday's video I turn the calendar back to October and point the Herald's stubby nose in the direction of this gathering. A good time was had as always, this one goes live at 12.00pm midday on Saturday, earlier than the usual evening time slot.

The first Combermere car gathering of 2026 will be Sunday 15th Feb. Tonight's upload https://youtu.be/KqJOuiiEyI4 winds the clock back a few months and gives you an idea of what might turn up. We took the Herald and Buick, while dad met us there in his MGB. A great many fine cars turned up, look out for the Miura accompanied by some onboard clips!

The Combermere car meet-ups are returning soon for 2026! In Saturday's video I time travel back to September to relive a particularly memorable Combermere gathering. We took the Herald and Buick, dad his MGB. An amazing assortment of oldies turned up for this one, including a stunning Lamborghini Miura - a number of on-board clips recorded in the Lambo by my youthful assistant make it into this upload. Morning all, there probably won't be an upload out tomorrow but I have something lined up for the coming weekend as usual ... more news on that one soon! In the meantime, don't forget to check out previous uploads if you're fairly new here, over 700 videos and counting. These photos may be of interest, in 2002 I was tipped off about the remains of a late 1940s Studebaker which had been bought new by the owner/director of the Foden (or was it ERF?) truck firm. Somehow I doubt that it survived!
