We’re shaving the firewall on our Squarebody C10 autocross truck using panels from GMSS Fab… but once we opened everything up, the rust was worse than we expected.
What was supposed to be a straightforward install turned into cutting out more metal, fabricating patch panels, welding, grinding, and changing the plan completely.
Project Hang On is getting done the right way — even if it slows us down.

We cracked into the firewall on our Squarebody thinking it’d be a quick cleanup…
Yeah. Nope. 😅
Bondo. Hidden rust. Three layers of crusty regret stacked like a bad sandwich.
So we grabbed the cutoff wheel, fired up the welder, and built a brand new panel from scratch. First time on the English wheel. No hiding it. No covering it up. Fixing it the right way.
