I've been asked for years whether I offer any type of art training or courses and at long last I bit the bullet and got something put together. It’s been a ton of work over last six months but I feel I’ve really created something of value! The course is based off the creation of a whitetail painting I titled “Showtime” and runs a total of 6 hours. I cover everything from the initial drawing and inspiration all the way to the final varnish. I cover areas like color choices and mixing, how I use light to give my elements volume, the use of texture and how I breathe life into the eyes of the deer. My latest moose piece titled “Yukons Finest” has just been sold to a collector for $12,000. What a fabulous way to start the week! No rest for the wicked though because it’s back to the easel to see if I can keep this winning streak on a roll.
🫎New moose painting finished! I’ve decided to title it Yukons Finest. I’ll have a complete video on the development of this piece coming soon. I’m also working hard on getting my painting course put together. Man is that a lot of editing! Anyway hopefully I’ve got something to release by the end of the month. Stay tuned for that.
