So about Chaos Starfall…

If you’ve been around this channel for over a year, you probably have seen a video or two about “Kirby Chaos Starfall”, which was going to be this oh super cool, epic, serious, beautifully animated indie kirby show on youtube.

If I’m going to be blunt… it’s going to be put on the shelf possibly indefinitely. I know some people were looking forward to it, so I really am sorry. In this post I’ll explain the reasons why, but also mention some other stuff so it isn’t all bad news.

When I came up with Chaos Starfall I was reallllly young. If I’m being honest, too young to be on social media- I think we can all agree when you’re that young a lot of ideas you come up with seem really good on paper but don’t really work well in practice. It first started as a simple trailer based on the shows I was inspired by, specifically Underverse, with no real plot in mind. Then after that, I doubled down with another trailer for Dream Display as well (Sorry for using up that spot Savi, if you're reading this I hope you can forgive me)

I had an entire script written out that was about 90% complete, but whenever I took a break before getting back to working on it I always thought it was cringe or not good enough compared to other stories on Youtube. Same goes with the animation, I tried to make it look as “good” and “polished” as it could be instead of how I usually draw, which honestly in my opinion made it look worse. It got to the point that I dreaded even working on the project at all and practically wanted to avoid it.

Due to all this I haven’t really worked on Chaos Starfall in a long while, and this is the official post explaining its current state. I’m not sure if I’ll return to it in the future but if I do it definitely won’t be for a good long time, since the story in it of itself is flawed. Once again, I’m really sorry for letting down anybody who may have been excited for it. But I don’t want this post to be all bad news, and I also still want to keep the promise of a Kirby animated series here on Youtube, so this post kind of doubles as another announcement as well.

I’ll be working on a new Kirby series that is different from Chaos Starfall, being much simpler.
I realised while writing the plot for Chaos Starfall that I really didn’t like making too serious or incredibly complicated stories, I enjoy making shorter, more comedic videos instead. So this series will sort of be like my usual videos, just bigger in length and having some sort of connected plot between them, my best example to compare it to being the Kirby in Minecraft videos in terms of simplicity.

I don’t want to get anybody’s hopes up, so some things I’ll be making clear is to not expect any gorgeous animations or beautiful plot, I’m making this for the sillies and goofs, and some parts will probably even look crappier than my usual animations-
With this new series I’m just trying to make something fun overall, even if it’s not the best quality, so don't expect too much.
Maybe it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but hopefully some Kirby fans can enjoy it. If I were to give you an idea of what to expect, think of it like BFDIE if you watch it. Not super serious, long or high budget, but still enjoyable and funny.


One more thing, I probably won’t give any release dates for anything anymore- not unless I’m 110% sure I can complete it on time or have completed it already. Really don’t like giving false information, especially after Chaos Starfall’s… 2025 release date. Damn.

…But maybe I can give one release date.

Because I’ve honestly been working on the first episode of this new series for a long while, and it’s practically done being animated, it should drop either tomorrow or before March depending on if anything happens! Probably tomorrow!!! Hopefully!
