I really wish they would go somewhere else with the mice. I don’t need them on the deck, dispose of them elsewhere. But that’s for protecting my wiring and buildings from rodent damage, and keeping them out of the house and food. It was neat to see none of the other cats tried to steal Bayonets mouse tho.

Look at the size of Aryahs head (5 months old) compared to Minions. Then look at Aryahs head compared To Az!

Minion 18lbs. Aryah 3x bigger at 60lbs. Az 3x larger than her at 180lbs. Az is almost 10x bigger than Minion by weight 🤯

No matter what animal it is, if they need help they will come in the house. Waste can be cleaned up. This duck had frostbite starting on the feet, so a soak in water (not hot water so no shock) was needed. Trying to get this many ducks into a greenhouse at once is difficult, and for some reason some don't return to sit on the pine shavings often enough to dry off. Some of the raised garden beds are full of the shavings. There's also other dry spots around the property but... Ya know, bird brains. They wanna explore, but it's just not the best day for it 🤦

I'm over winter now, ready for spring. But the dogs are loving it! They want me to come out and play, and it's fun but I don't want to do it for long lol. Rainwater tank is iced up pretty well but the water in the center is still liquid so we still have running water.

Some people think livestock dogs have to be mostly ignored by humans. While they can still do their job that way, they can also play and interact with their people. The still retain the genetics that tell them how to do their job. It’s impossible to train thousands of years of dna out of a dog.

Investing time into your relationship with any animal is always rewarding, and you improve their quality of life by doing so. They are only here for a short time, make it the best life you can possibly give them!
