As I walked down into the woods, I felt as though I had stepped into Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's Aranyak. Back in college, I used to read that book secretly, hiding it behind my academic textbooks. During my adolescence, it was my absolute favourite. These days, I can’t quite say which book holds that title, each one I read and love seems to carve out its own special place in my heart.
In that quiet forest, though Aranyak was the first to stir in my imagination, my thoughts soon drifted into the world of a Ghibli movie. I had never felt such a sense of freshness in my heart before.
