13 years ago today. The husky that started it all! She was our first Husky, and once you have one, you realize they aren't like other breeds, and well, she started us on the path we continue on today! You touched the hearts of millions of people across the world, and put us on the path to eventually become Gone to the Snow Dogs. You only lived to be 11 years old, and during your life you had so many ups and downs with your health. For those of you that don't know, Shiloh was a puppy mill puppy. She came from Dixon, Missouri, and we got her from a Pet Store in Tucson, Arizona, at 12 weeks old. She was on the list to be "moved to a new store" which usually meant, they were going to euthanize her. She was to sick to be purchased. Green coming out of her nose, her eyes, everywhere. Yet we saved her. I bought this dog on a credit card, the first credit card I ever had, but we had to save her. Shortly there after, I was fired from that store for spreading the word about the reality behind pet stores (seriously, support responsible reputable breeders, or adopt, but do NOT buy from Pet stores!).
Thank you for being such a huge part of our lives. We miss you! So crazy to think you have been gone 13 years . . . Stay Positive, and Dream Big my sweet Shiloh! Forever in our hearts!
