The Kremlin has found a new way to rob its own citizens under the guise of caring for the environment. Recycling fees in Russia have skyrocketed hundreds of times, effectively doubling the cost of cars. Now, buying a foreign car is not only a luxury, but also a compulsory contribution to the military budget: you pay for one car for yourself and for the second – for "missiles." Even domestic "buckets with bolts" from AvtoVAZ have jumped in price, making travel around the country inaccessible to millions. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte Discussed Proposals for the Development of the PURL Initiative
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss funding for the PURL initiative.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the productive meeting in the Ramstein format, during which partners confirmed the allocation of €38 billion in military aid for Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte discussed cooperation with partners to strengthen our country’s capabilities to protect lives and the establishment of joint defense ventures in Europe.
The main focus of the meeting was the further development of the PURL initiative. Ukraine highly values the contribution of each state and counts on continued funding for this initiative, which makes it possible to purchase missiles for air defense systems.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected the appeal of Ukrainian skeletonist Vladyslav Heraskevych, putting the “regulation” above morality. Vladyslav was suspended from the Olympics only because he refused to remove the helmet with portraits of Ukrainian athletes who were killed by Russia. Instead of honouring the victims of aggression, the IOC proposed a “neutral” black bandage, but Heraskevych chose loyalty to the principles rather than the Olympic license. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Czech President Petr Pavel.
The sides discussed continued military assistance to Ukraine. Zelenskyy expressed hope that the supply of artillery shells would proceed without any delays.
💬 Аlso talked about cooperation within joint defense programs, including the Czech Republic’s possible participation in the PURL initiative and the potential implementation of joint projects under the SAFE instrument, the Ukrainian president wrote on Telegram.

While world leaders in Munich discuss the security architecture of the future, Russia sets new bloody records. In the last week alone, the number of weapons launched against Ukraine exceeded 800. On Saturday night, the enemy again attacked with ballistic missiles and a swarm of 112 drones (Shahed, Gerbera, and others). Volodymyr Zelenskyy said from the conference podium that Ukraine is ready for an agreement, but it must be a "real peace" and not another trap set by the Kremlin. Western partners are responding with specifics – discussions of billions in investments in the defence industry and indefinite strengthening of air defence.

On February 14, 2026, the geography of the war finally changed. While in the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders are finalising the defeat of the last combat-ready reserves of Russian paratroopers, the Kremlin received a “black mark” from the sky. For the first time officially confirmed: a new Ukrainian long-range system developed within the Brave1 cluster has hit the military infrastructure in the St. Petersburg region. These are no longer single drones – this is full-fledged fire control over the aggressor’s rear. We will analyse why Moscow’s air Defence turned out to be powerless against our ballistics and how the panic in Belgorod due to the blackout was the beginning of the end of Putin’s strategy “war somewhere far away”.

⚡️ Ukraine hopes to end the war in 2026. The key issue right now is Donbas. Putin wants to seize it in order to sell this “victory” to the Russian public, Zelensky said.
Other statements by the President of Ukraine to the media:
▪️ Ukraine has received a proposal from the United States for 15-year security guarantees, but we need guarantees for 30–50 years.
▪️ Ukraine is doing everything possible to ensure that Europe is at the negotiating table. It is Europe that provides the majority of Ukraine’s defense funding.
▪️ More than 7,000 Ukrainian prisoners are being held in Russia, while more than 4,000 are being held in Ukraine.
▪️ Russia will block Ukraine’s EU membership if peace documents do not include a clear accession date.
▪️ The United States seeks to conclude a peace agreement as quickly as possible and sign all documents simultaneously, while Ukraine insists on receiving security guarantees first.
