What type of Betta tank would you like to see me create for this stunning chap? Although he seemed to have woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning! Constantly flaring at me through the glass and wanting to start a fight with me and I'll be honest I didn't fancy my chances.

A bit of relaxing maintenance on the Blackwater tank today. I do find myself getting lost looking into this aquarium for ages! Being able to watch the fish interact with the botanicals adds another level to fish tanks. Also I'm so happy that the Amazon sword and also the Ficus are starting to bring greenery above the waterline. And as someone always asks in the comments the white things I use to clean the glass are ‪@NTLabsOfficialSite‬ algae sponges.

Look who decided to make an appearance yesterday after we cleared the top of his tank of floating plants. I think this little Betta Imbellis needs a new home down in the fish garage. Hmmmmm now to think of a new aquascape.
I remember seeing photos of catfish swimming along the edges of tropical rivers and this captures that perfectly! I've definitely gained a bit of inspiration for my shallow that needs to be set up again soon.
As you can see in the pictures we had it setup with a Riverbank vibe and a tree growing out of the top. We had to shut the tank down when we built the fish garage but the tree now lives in the top of our cichlid pond, although it did stress out and drop most of its leaves.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
