Hey,

Figured I’d make a post for those who may be curious why there’s been no streams in a while or video updates. I’ve been very busy with life stuff and having multiple dental procedures making it a bit painful to talk for long periods. I’ve written notes for the Interloper addendum and want to get back to working on scripts I think will make interesting videos soon but it won’t be for a while.

Hopefully when I am feeling better I’ll be able to make my videos better after a lot of the advice and criticism from the previous video so I am hoping to improve. Video progress will probably not resume till early to mid February (yes, quite a while and I’m annoyed about it).

Anyway, small personal thing for those that care to read this far, I’ve had the interloper video on my mind a lot based on the fans of the series who gave a lot of criticism. I don’t plan on doing another ARG/unfiction project for a while so I can best improve my process and video quality in general. I’ve already worked on my audio settings (fuckin OBS finally complying) and I plan on learning Davinci resolve so that my ideas for some edits aren’t paywalled like in filmora. I still prefer to edit in a minimalistic way and would like to continue to cover projects, but I want to make the videos better in a writing perspective as well. HELLO! IF YOU SAW THE INTERLOPER VIDEO, PLEASE STOP HERE



So, the Interloper video did better than I thought it did to be honest. I'm so glad a lot of people enjoyed the video, however a lot of fans of Interloper also saw my video and were upset about the (lot of) things I missed. Some of it was left out for simplicity on my part, some was missed entirely and some things were straight up wrong!

I'm very happy to see the investigators who watched my video be passionate about defending the series they love and criticize where I got wrong. Personally, I don't believe any of my videos are or will ever be perfect and that's certainly the case for the most recent one. With how much I got wrong and how upset some more diehard fans were I do want to fix my mistakes to make the video better for fans of the series and also add in what I failed at for the more casual audience who never realized any of the video's mistakes. Plus, I also loved Anomidae's work and don't really want to have my video feel like a misrepresentation of their work or like I don't also care and love the series.

So I want YOUR opinions. Realistically there's 3 options instead of 2 (the third being I don't make a response video, but that feels a tad rude). The first is a straight addendum video. A video where I cover all the things I got wrong, add everything I missed, and make a final thoughts that include everything I got completely incorrect. The alternative is using the current video as a base, and interjecting wherever I was wrong, adding missing content, clarifying things that weren't completely worded right, and fixing some of the smaller errors of the video.

I understand some fans dislike the video in general because of the style of my content, which you are all entitled to your opinions on. Of course, I believe there is always room for improvement but I do think the style fits more with part of my intention with the video. Also if any of the people from the comments on the video who pointed out all that was missing wanna help I'd be happy to get their help on a proper addendum/dc. Thanks for taking the time to read this and leave your thoughts below. If you're one of the people who left a comment on my video I wouldn't mind help and I may reach out to some specific commentors (as I recognized names from some investigators who I watched and used to understand some things).
