On this World Heritage Day, I had the privilege of visiting the majestic Kesariya Buddha Stupa – a silent testament to centuries of spiritual history and architectural brilliance.
Nestled in the heart of Bihar, this stupa is not just bricks and stones, but a sacred echo of Lord Buddha's final journey and teachings. Standing tall as one of the largest stupas in the world, it radiates peace, wisdom, and a deep connection to our ancient heritage.

Walking through the serene site, I couldn’t help but reflect on the timeless message of compassion, mindfulness, and unity that Buddha shared with the world. Kesariya is more than a monument—it's a symbol of our shared cultural legacy and the spiritual roots that bind us all.

India celebrates CISF Raising Day on March 10 every year to honour the Central Industrial Security Forces of India (CISF), and this year, it will be the 56th Raising Day and be observed on March 10, 2025, Monday.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is the Union’s military force, founded by an Act of Parliament in 1968 (50 of 1968), and was established in 1969.

With specialised security personnel becoming increasingly important in industry and other critical areas, CISF promotes the safety of public sector initiatives, industrial facilities, and government infrastructure projects.

The day recognises the sacrifices and efforts made by CISF troops in protecting the country’s most important resources and is marked by parades, cultural activities, and ceremonies.
