Weekly videos helping beatmakers get more out of their samplers and dawless gear (SP-404, Koala Sampler, Digitakt, & more).
From full beat builds to sound design and live performance, this channel is about making real music within the wonderfully weird limitations of hardware.
Sunwarper is a Los Angeles–based electronic project featured on KEXP and Bandcamp New & Notable.

We just hit 10,000 subscribers here on the channel.
What started as a place to post DAWless jams and sampler experiments has grown into something I never would have imagined when I uploaded those first videos.
Huge thanks to everyone who’s watched a video, left a comment, or just followed along. And a special thank you to all of the channel members who help support the channel and make this sustainable.
There’s more sampler and production tutorials ahead, and I’m also looking forward to exploring a few more DIY experiments this year.
Appreciate you all.

How do you usually slice samples?
New video out tomorrow breaking down a manual slicing method that doesn’t rely on Auto Chop. It fixed what I think is the biggest workflow flaw on the P-6.

I’m spending this week editing and lining up the next run of videos post NAMM. Lots of interesting videos in the queue, like making samples and looking into the SEQTRAK update.
If you’ve found the tips and tutorials on this channel useful and want more hands-on help, whether that’s sampler workflows, finishing beats, or just getting unstuck, I do have a few openings for one on one lessons.
Details are here if you’re interested:

After a long week at NAMM, it’s been really nice to get back home, sit down with some familiar gear and make beats again.
I’ve been digging through all the footage and audio I captured at the show, and there’s a lot to sort through. I’m putting together a Best of NAMM video with the stuff that really stood out to me and that’ll be up this Saturday. See you soon!
