Yesterday’s Ginger Bread House Party was more fun than expected! There was a lot of preparation involved, so we’d like to thank Erin and Leah for preparing all that was needed for this time of fellowship.

Friendsgiving was everything 🥧🍂
Sunday was busy! But it was filled with blessings. Aside from the delicious food, skillful piano playing by a guest pianist, and the partaking of the Lord’s Supper, we also had a baptism. Jimmy was able to give his personal testimony before being baptized which was a moving display.
Thank you to everyone who signed up to bring food and refreshments for our Friendsgiving event. We look forward to doing this with you again next year!

Good things are happening 🍂.
Just as leaves change their color, people’s hearts change as well. The cool autumn breeze often brings crowds of new faces back to church. God has increased our morning service attendance to an average of 53, which is almost twice the number we had at the hotel.
Our Sunday school hour recently had 35 people in attendance! We’ll have to move out of the basement due to this blessing.
No matter how things may seem or look God is always working. He’s always moving. Embrace change and trust in Him to work out all circumstances concerning you.
Change is beautiful when you allow the Creator of all good things to have full control.

After 8 years of waiting, Paulina was scripturally baptized at our church. She’s a medical student who has only been attending our service for about two months, but she already feels at home. We are so thankful for her warm presence and public decision to join our congregation as a member. God is doing what only He can here at BBC and we praise Him for it!

A public statement from Pastor Pedro Morales.
In today’s morning worship service, Pastor addressed the congregation regarding the recent events in Utah. He made it very clear that violence of any kind, specifically premeditated m*rder, is unacceptable. We as Christians need to emphatically declare that we will not participate in hateful acts or perpetuate discord amongst each other; even if we disagree.
We need to pray for Erika Kirk, her children, and the Kirk family. We also desperately need to pray for Tyler Robinson, his parents, and his family. If we want to see the world turn from its wicked ways, then we as a body of Christ need to love others the way Charlie Kirk did.
Jesus laid the groundwork. What will you do with your time here on earth? Tomorrow is not guaranteed (James 4:14). Start making changes today.

When you look at these photos, what do you see?
Maybe you see ordinary people sitting in a church pew. But God sees more.
đź«‚ He sees young adults looking for connection.
đź‘Ł He sees the older generation trying to lead by example.
❤️‍🩹 And He sees the broken hearts that we don’t even know have been damaged.
Most importantly, you’re seeing imperfect people stay connected to the vine, that is, Jesus Christ (John 15:5). You don’t have to have it all figured out to show up in church. There is no status or quota you must meet before bringing your burdens to the Lord.
If you’re starving for hope and a purpose, the best thing you can do is stay connected to the vine. You do that by soaking in God’s Word as much as you can. Going to church helps us stay on track with God and encourages us spiritually. You’re not always going to feel like attending, but remember, God didn’t feel like dying on the cross yet He did it anyway.
So the next time you’re feeling disconnected, confused, and overwhelmed, ask yourself how long it’s been since you attended a church service. God is waiting to pour into you through your spiritual family. If you show up, God promises to show out on your behalf (Matt. 6:33-34)!

Another successful event for the books 🙏🏼
This past Sunday we had Hawaiian Shirt Sundae at our church and it was a smash hit! Not only did we see some visitors, but there were a total of 53 people in attendance to our worship service, which is a big deal for our small church.
God is always moving in ways to bless our efforts here at BBC and it’s amazing to witness how friendships are forming every week in our congregation. We would like to invite you to join us for future events. Men and Women’s Axe Throwing and the Woven Women’s Bible Study and Candle Making are the next events on our schedule.

Can you guess who’s in this drawing?
It’s Pastor Morales! An artist, who goes by the nickname “O”, has just recently started attending our morning worship service and was also the one who drew this! In it, you’ll find Pastor at the center, O himself at bottom right, his friend Alex above him, and their friend Jason to the left.
It’s a very neat thing when Christians use their God-given gifts to bless someone else. O and his friends have mentioned how welcome they feel at BBC and we are so encouraged by their feedback.
Thank you for being kind and considerate to guests, church family. It truly makes a difference in their life.
