This scene is one of my favorites from the whole trilogy.

Weapons: Fires electrical beams from its mouth
Special traits: Can turn invisible

Acidon
Description: “The snakelike creatures slip out of crevices in the islets, waiting in ambush.” (Among Serpents)
Size: 30-50 feet
Danger rating: 8/10
Health rating: 5/10
Weapons: Spits acid
Special traits: Highly maneuverable, ambush hunters

Couple cool things happened today:

First, I got an update on the pre-order numbers for DOWNFALL and wow! Thank you all so much. I smiled all morning.

Secondly, I was told today that SKY’S END was nominated for the Colorado Bruce Spruce Young Adult Book Award!

Ahoy Swabbies!

We have decided to include a deleted scene from SKY'S END, AMONG SERPENTS, and DOWNFALL at the end of the ebook edition of DOWNFALL. You will not find these scenes anywhere else, and they are exclusive to DOWNFALL's ebook. These scenes are no longer canon and are raw and unedited. You'll discover the SKY'S END scene is from a much earlier version of the book and was written in third-person past tense. The Master of Disposal is pretty gross! The scene from AMONG SERPENTS was rewritten because I found a better way to get the crew off of Venator while building more tension. The scene from DOWNFALL was cut for pacing purposes and because it led to other deleted scenes that were part of a planned subplot that I also snipped for pacing purposes. While these scenes were removed from the final versions of the books for a reason, I hope you find them to be a fascinating look into not only my process as a writer, but also giving you a little more time in the Skylands.
