Today 20 feb 2023 Russia is starting to celebrate MASLENITSA week or slavic Komoeditsa (from the old slavic word "Como" which means "a bear" - the animal of the god Veles). Thats the celebration of upcoming spring and sun, saying "goodbye" to the winter. The holiday was obviously taken from pagan slavic times. To know more about old traditions of this day you can watch my video revealing all the peculiarities and origin of this beautiful holiday of fire and warmth.
