We often complain or make demands for our partner to change in order to meet our needs, then feel surprised when they get defensive.
The truth is, we need to express our needs, not impose demands.
If we never learn how to express what we need, we’ll keep expecting someone else to change or feel pressured to make them change.
But the only person we can truly control, change, or make demands of is ourselves.
So, how do we do it? Let’s look at some examples.
