HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Thank you all for watching Scream Sequence 3. Doing a full season based exclusively on video games was super daunting, it was a ton of work to smash into a small period of time, but that's the gig, what can you do? You'll notice that the SAW: The Video Game episode is actually going to drop on Monday, November 3, meaning that Scream Sequence is actually breaking the October barrier for the first time ever. I hope you all enjoy the season finale, it's a doozy.

I come to you today with a question. I haven't done ANY let's play style videos on this channel since September of 2024. Not only has this greatly improved viewership (which I knew it would), but it hasn't exactly hurt in the revenue department, either. So now I'm facing a little bit of dilemma. I know some of you enjoy the annual Grand Fantasy Rumble and King Of The Ring EXTREME Tournaments. I've been running them for 4 years now and I feel like I should hit them this year as well.

The dilemma is... does anyone want to see let's play style stuff here anymore? I know from the analytics alone that my scripted retrospectives do way better, obviously, but I wanted to ask you guys... Just for a couple weeks, do you want to see these annual events? Or do I retire them and just keep the new status quo, 100% exclusively scripted content, flowing?

You tell me what you want to see. I feel weird running let's play stuff now, but I also feel bad at the idea of breaking these yearly traditions. So let me know what's up. If I'm being 100% honest, let's play style videos are WAY EASIER and FAR LESS TIME CONSUMING to make, meaning that just a few weeks of these would allow me a ton of time to work on the Metal Gear Solid & GTA IV retrospectives, finishing The History of A Nightmare On Elm Street and more while those keep the gears turning.

You guys see this new angle DC Comics is running? It's called 'DC KO' and it's a tournament to determine who is going to battle Darkseid. Huh. Really interesting to see, ya know, structure. A roadmap. An... actual tournament. They've only just begin to reveal the competitors but, I just thought it'd be interesting to bring up.

It'd be cool if Mortal Kombat did this, just once.

Hello DanDans, one and all! Quick little post here. First of all, thank you for welcoming back Mortal Kombat Monday with open arms. I appreciate it. Much more to come. Second of all, today's post is about the YouTube censorship, the reaction to which has been like 97% reasonable, which I also appreciate.

To make this very, very clear: I am not simply DECIDING to censor the MK Monday videos out of the blue. The attached image is just one example of how hard YouTube has cracked down on violence over the last year or two. For those who don't know: getting the yellow dollar sign/age restriction/blocking, those are community guidelines strikes. That means I marked the video for language and violence right when I uploaded it, as I'm required to do, and then YouTube punished me anyway.

Those strikes come from YouTube saying "yea but... the violence, it's TOO much, actually." Even though what I've set is correct, even though the video DOES INDEED fall inside of their written rules, they don't care, and they can decide on a whim that I actually don't fit within guidelines.

Getting community strikes like that doesn't just kill the video in question where it stands, it also (and they'll never admit this) practically shadowbans my channel for a 90 day period. YouTube doesn't allow me to monetize on my own inside of that 90 days, it's up to them. They get to decide what sort of content my video contains, I have no say in the matter.

Now this part goes out to the 3% of people who can't seem to wrap their brains around what I'm saying here: if I continue to get shadowbanned and keep piling up these community guidelines strikes, there will be no channel. It will die. It will go away because nobody is going to know I'm even uploading anything, because YouTube isn't going to alert any of my viewers. This is my job. I know what I'm doing. I know how to handle these things.

Putting uncensored versions of the episodes on Patreon is not some sort of brilliant money making scheme. I don't know how wealthy you 3% think I am, but let me tell you: I'm not rolling in the green over here, lol. Offering uncensored episodes on Patreon has resulted in like, maybe 10 new signups. Why? Because many people don't really care about the fake blood. They know what it looks like. It's not a big deal.

I cannot offer the uncensored versions on YouTube (even YouTube Memberships) because why? Because, again, even if I label the upload correctly, YouTube can decide that on any given day, they disagree, and I'm screwed, and the channel dies.

97%, maybe even 98% of you know this, you understand this, and you don't care either way. So I'm not talking to you, and I appreciate you very much. Thank you. But to the very small group of people who are complaining and accusing me of "trying to charge for something for no reason," yea dude. Just please try and use you brain. If I wanted to make money I would be doing reaction video garbage and making YOUTUBE FACE thumbnails with pointless red arrows and engaging in bad faith arguments in my titles, which I never, ever do.

Thank you all for watching The History of Mortal Kombat Part VII - End of an Era. A shadow drop is always fun, isn't it? Season 5 of Mortal Kombat Monday continues next week, where I'll be focusing on where exactly Mortal Kombat 1 went wrong (in my personal opinion). From the adoption of an empty and played out multiverse concept to the dearth of hidden secrets and mysteries, I've got a lot to say.

As with every episode of MK Monday, the YouTube version will launch at the same time as the uncensored version, which will be availably exclusively on Patreon. Again, I'm sorry I have to blur the Fatalities nowadays, but if I don't, there's literally no way to do this show anymore, and I don't want to stop doing MK stuff. It's a slight adjustment, but it is annoying, yea.

I hope everyone enjoyed WrestleMania. Specifically the people who argued with me and told me I was wrong and dumb for saying the John Cena/Rock alliance was stupid and wasn't going to amount to anything of substance. Now that the entire build has come and gone, the event itself is over, Cena never explained what his alliance with Rock was about, Rock never showed up one time across the entire storyline, NOT EVEN AT WRESTLEMANIA and the entire thing came down to Travis Scott, yea, I hope you guys enjoyed it the most.

Go ahead and give this another watch and remind me how wrong and off base I was, and how I was "jumping the gun."
