She is the first Nigerian female commercial pilot.
The first woman to fly an aircraft in Nigeria.
She trained as a pilot at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, in 1978.
She earned her commercial pilot license on May 20, 1981.
At a time when aviation in Nigeria was almost entirely male.
She later took advanced aviation and transport training in the United Kingdom and the United States.
In October 2011, she was appointed Rector and Chief Executive of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology.
She led the same institution where she was once trained.
She served in that role until February 2014.
In 2006, she was awarded Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).
She is a member of the Nigerian Women Achievers Hall of Fame.
Her recognition includes multiple national and continental awards.
Her story is not about spectacle.
It is about entry.
Training.
Competence.
And occupying a space where no Nigerian woman had stood before.
